Lost Cherished Cuddly Toy of Baby Cow Beanie, will pay £30 for replacement 19th Apr 17 at 9:35 PM
    Hi Everyone,

Sorry if this isn't the right forum to add this too; my daughter has lost the most special cuddly toy that she doted on like nothing other toy, which she had since birth.

It was a Beanie Baby Cow and I am very much trying to add a picture

We are at our Wits end trying to find a replacement, if anyone has one, I'd be willing to pay £30 to buy it form you.
We and she will be so grateful for anyone that can help.

    Many thanks,

    Richard

Do you have a photo of the toy?

I don't know whether you can post photos as a newbie. If you cannot, you won't be able to post a link/URL either. But if you have the photo on a hosting site (eg tinypic, photobucket) you can post the URL with spaces (eg www . site . ) and someone else will convert it a hyperlink for you.

FWIW I've found replacements for our son's various beloved items on eBay ...

I've seen similar posts on Facebook, where someone has appealed for help to find a replacement teddy/cuddly toy. If you have a photograph of the teddy/cuddly toy, ask people to share and you'll probably reach more people on Facebook than on this forum.

Do you know where the toy was purchased? Have you tried to contact the store to see if they can contact the manufacturer?

    Good luck

I've known people who found it very hard to find something to replace their cherished Troll.

    Something like this, perhaps?

I am also trying to replace a soft toy, but alas I think they're no longer made, and they came from the U.S. I haven't given up trying, however. If anyone knows where I can buy a reasonably-priced knee-hugger monkey perhaps they could let me know. Sorry to hijack your thread OP and I hope you find your replacement toy.

Was it the standard beanie-baby size, and in black / brown / or red? I think I might have the red one in the attic ...

Maybe I'm misunderstanding how children work, but wouldn't a replacement be rejected, since it doesn't have the same emotional connection? Wouldn't it be better to use this as an opportunity to teach her about loss, things not always working out perfectly, and the importance of looking after your stuff?

Some beanies are apparently rather rare and worth loads.

This link tells you how to spot a rare one..........

Can anyone tell me, how long do I need to be a new user before I can post a picture
    Hi All,

I'm still trying to get the picture of baby cow uploaded, but I'm still getting the 'Sorry as a new user you are not allowed to post links'. Can anyone tell me, how long do I need to be a new user before I can post a picture?

Thanks everyone for your replies, and I'm not trolling, this is genuine, but seems a little pointless if I cant add a picture.

    Thanks for your help,

    Richard

Upload the photo to a photo sharing site.

Post the link to the photo, but put a space in it so it's not recognised as a link.

This is it! Thanks Judi for adding this picture!
The item name for Baby Cow on-line was

"Baby Cow 4.5'' Plush Stuffed Animal Beanbag Super Soft Toy Puppy Fluffy Flossy High Quality"

It was made by a company called 'Play by Play' which is no longer trading, as otherwise I would have written to them to ask to pay for replacement.

Would really appreciate anyone who could help or even advise who has been through a similar experience and managed to find replacements?

Thanks everyone, especially you Judi for helping out here!

    Richard
