Pay Day Loan Company doesn't appear on credit file 18th Apr 17 at 8:43 PM
A few months ago I took out a few pay day loans with Wonga, Sunny and Satsuma Loans. I repaid these but I need to check if they are on my credit file. I have paid for my credit file from Experian but these loans do not appear although they do show up in the search area that they did a search on me but there is no listing that they issued a loan to me. I though it was a legal requirement that they notify credit agencies when they issue loans. Does anyone know why they are not listed as lending to me?

As to why they arent on your Experian report, well thats anyones guess, you should be asking them that question.

Was it really necessary to use the 3 lenders ?

Maybe using them have done more harm than good.

Can people stop loaning money/being a guarator to family/friends, it rarely ends well and you lose out as your money is gone or you get shafted with being a guarantor.

You may have got lucky and they're not reported. But you should certainly check your other files.

Not all lenders report to all the CRA's.

They will most likley show on Noddle.

Sunny did not report in 2014 or were very, very, very delayed doing so, they managed to put backdated 2014 loans through in the mid year of 2015 when I had third loan out - they were moreso active in this when their group name changed from think finance to elevate credit in my personal opinion, it's one of the very first things out of the mouth of someone sitting at the 'London' office so I just can't imagine they don't not report. (Though as it stands it turns out it's my only proof of being their customer more or less)

On recent 'correspondence' I notice they seem to want to allude to the name they were years ago of one month loans along with their other brand name so it's a bit smelly and so maybe you got anyway with something if the business really is that confused, nothing would surprise me. : )

Don't know about other 2 to comment.

Did you get rid of your sunny account? I mean get it closed down as again this is something which has always remained open and is something else I note as potential for issue.

I had a few a number of years ago, may not help now like but I would say that maybe 3 did not appear on ANY credit reports. One appeared in lke the "other debt" section or something like that, a really obscure place.

I would recommend checking every single part of your credit report as it may be hidden in a section you would not expect it to be in.

If the loans don't appear you are very lucky as the last thing you want is payday loans on your credit files.
