Car insurance 18th Apr 17 at 5:49 PM
My wife mis-read when her car insurance expired. She took out a policy with another company one month too early.
I pointed this out to her 17 hours after she took it out. She has called them and they have cancelled it but have charged her £49.99.
Is this correct & within the distance selling regs etc ?

    Many thanks.

No "distance selling regs" for car insurance.

If the fee is in line with their conditions it will be correct.

That doesn't mean she cannot have a moan at them, point out she will be back in a month and can they waive the fee/ credit her account with it as a goodwill gesture.

    No harm trying.

Thanks, I thought as much. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
