Greece with baby suggestions? 18th Apr 17 at 10:57 AM
Hi all, looking to tap in to the wealth of info from you.

Needing to book a honeymoon soon for June. Baby will be less than 1.

Narrowed it down to some extent to greece. Want something relaxing, dont want to need a car, ideally as little travelling time from airports as possible. And as pram friendly as possible. We quite like walking around aimlessly so dont necessarily mind long walks but ideally avoid hills/battered roads/paths.

Budget is 1500 max for self catering. Could stretch a bit more for AI, B&B etc but would prefer SC as we're quite big foodies and like to find querky (to us) places. We've been looking at 1 bed apartment style places so we can put baby to bed and enjoy the evening without risk of disturbing him.

Been on the lookout for a honeymoon for the best part of 6 months, and mainly looking at Greece for the last couple and dont seem to be getting anywhere. Please help!

O we can fly from NW or leeds/bradford (not expecting you to find me the holiday!) more good recommendations of resorts/hotels and places that are baby friendly that should be within budget?
    Don't be angry!

Even in the better parts of Greece, you may find 'battered paths'. This search depends entirely on what you want, and how you see your honeymoon.

My partner is Greek and fussy about Greek food. He also likes to fall asleep listening to the waves, so we usually go to places that are right on the beach. I've linked both of these hotels before and can't recommend them enough, but for different reasons.

http://www.corfu3starshotel.com/ - 3 Stars Hotel, Moraitika, Corfu. The main road is 5 mins walk away, so you're tucked away in a small resort but can easily get the bus into Corfu town. The hotel has a great pool with a children's section, and beautiful gardens leading directly to the beach. The hotel restaurant is literally on the beach and open to the public. They have an evening menu and a buffet which is €15 per person and worth every penny for the high standard of Greek and International food they serve, plus they do a nightly display cooking dish.

http://www.marakasbeach-apts.gr/ - Marakas Beach, Kato Stalos, Crete. This is our other great favourite. The apartments are on a busy main road, but if you get a beach front apartment, it feels like you only hear the sea. The family who own the apartments also have a restaurant directly across the road which is rated as one of the best in the area (Kosmas Taverna), and they make wonderful cocktails too. From here, you have easy walks along the coast to neighbouring resorts, and access to bus services.

In Cyprus, not Greece I know, we've stayed at lovely apartments in the Holiday Village Aliathon. Thomson also go there from Leeds Bradford and you can go self catering to the Aliathon Apartments for 2 weeks for your budget for all of you. They have excursions so shouldn't need car. The apartments are in a quiet area. Holiday Village is extra but doesn't say how much. Very child friendly.
