Onwards and downwards... 27th Mar 17 at 2:47 PM
    Hey everyone

Iíve decided itís time for a new diary. Iíve been plodding away for years, robbing Peter to pay Paul, desperately trying to keep on top of everything. Iím fed up with doing this, so at the end of last year I started a DMP with Stepchange. Having someone else do all the hard work takes so much pressure off, and I donít need to worry about it so much now. I wish Iíd done it sooner!

There is also the ongoing saga of clearing the house which has been going on for years. We have cleared most of the stuff we inherited, but still have loads of our own stuff to clear, DH more so than me. Whilst this drives me crazy, it has been invaluable in providing us extra cash while I sell everything that isnít nailed down.

For anyone new popping in (Hello! ) Do stick around. There is me, DH, little jwil (4) and little miss (1). We also have a dog and a cat. DH is doing temporary work at the moment whilst looking for a FT job. My job is very uncertain at the moment, so just clinging on with great hope! I thought it was ok for the next couple of years, but itís all change again now so who knows!

I hope old friends and new will pop in now and again to say hello and give me a boot up the bum

Well we went out at the weekend, the kids enjoyed it, but we spent far too much due to the fact we didn't research the place we went to first and the entrance fees were extortionate! Serves us right

Both kids have been up loads at night so I am shattered. Hope this medication makes a difference.

    Thank you

The flipping pharmacy wouldn't sell me any without a GP diagnosis I checked on the NHS website and it says there is no need to see a GP unless you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 2. None of which apply! I've been to a different one this morning who had no such qualms and said there's loads about at the moment ewww.

I found a note in his bag this morning that nits are going round too. Joy! I've had a look and he doesn't seem to have any, but I'd better invest in a nit comb now as well.

I would say it's a relief that they'll grow out of it, but that's a long time away yet

The medication is very effective by the way, but can take several hours to take effect. Which is why I used to keep some in stock so that I could dose them as soon as symptoms appeared.

I don't know if it's a coincidence, but last night was the first night in months they have both slept through I'll definitely keep a stash of the medication in.

One of my debts has offered a F&F discount. It's around £2k off so not bad, but it would pretty much wipe out my savings, so I'm going to turn it down and hope I get something next year. It's a shame, but it's nice to have that safety blanket and I don't want to lose it.

A hard decision, but as you say maybe you can do better. Ring them up and make them a lower offer? You never know they may say yes.

Our ebay listings will stop after this weekend for a week or so. I'll start relisting again to end once it's too late to post for Christmas.

It will be nice to have a little break from parcels, but I'd better get on with prepping some new stuff!
