Onwards and downwards... 27th Mar 17 at 2:47 PM
    Hey everyone

Iíve decided itís time for a new diary. Iíve been plodding away for years, robbing Peter to pay Paul, desperately trying to keep on top of everything. Iím fed up with doing this, so at the end of last year I started a DMP with Stepchange. Having someone else do all the hard work takes so much pressure off, and I donít need to worry about it so much now. I wish Iíd done it sooner!

There is also the ongoing saga of clearing the house which has been going on for years. We have cleared most of the stuff we inherited, but still have loads of our own stuff to clear, DH more so than me. Whilst this drives me crazy, it has been invaluable in providing us extra cash while I sell everything that isnít nailed down.

For anyone new popping in (Hello! ) Do stick around. There is me, DH, little jwil (4) and little miss (1). We also have a dog and a cat. DH is doing temporary work at the moment whilst looking for a FT job. My job is very uncertain at the moment, so just clinging on with great hope! I thought it was ok for the next couple of years, but itís all change again now so who knows!

I hope old friends and new will pop in now and again to say hello and give me a boot up the bum

    Today's 'to do' list:

    Ebay listing for DH
Finish sorting and prepping the pile I have accumulated to go on ebay
    Ebay listing for me
Reach £5 on 1 survey site so I can cashout
    Clean kitchen
    Clean bathroom
    Vacuum
Get up to date with admin and tidy desk - started
Sort and tidy packaging materials - started
    Put washing away
    Catch up on washing

Check Xmas gifts, see what I need to get
    Buy DH's Xmas gift
    Research Tumble driers
    Look for new shoes
    Check car insurance quotes
    Pay Council tax
    Meal plan for next week
    Tackle and organise toy pile
Go through DH's ebay boxes and see if they can be condensed.
    Birthday card for little miss
    Christmas cards
Google car issues and see if I can fix

Not bad so far DH's Christmas present was on Black Friday deal and so I saved £26 I have added a load of new stuff to do as well though.

I'm back on Royal Mail posting panel again so received some stamps and a presentation set today Good timing for Christmas cards.

I had a bit of a panic earlier as the heating didn't seem to be working. Quick change of the thermostat batteries and all seems to be ok again

I found a parcel in the porch which has presumably been dropped through the window and fallen out of sight. It was dated a week ago I've complained before about them doing that as we have plants on the windowsill. Good job it wasn't an ebay parcel or something, or I'd have been claiming INR! It was actually something to test so I wasn't expecting it, but it's a bonus

Not bad so far DH looked at my car and fixed the issues. I've ordered some shoes, paid the Council tax for the rest of the year, so no need to worry until April now . I did the quotes for my car insurance, realised my existing provider was cheapest, phoned them up and managed to get a £25 amazon voucher for renewing with them, so didn't manage to get a discount but a nice freebie instead I've also paid upfront so saved money that way too.
I've found the bookcases I want, but not ordered them yet. Will try and raise some funds towards them first. It should save a lot of space though.

Finally reached £5 cashout on a survey site so have redeemed for an amazon voucher. I've also reached £12 cashout on another site which will come through as cash.

Little jwil and little miss went to see Father Christmas yesterday so they were happy. Also ordered our turkey joint at the same time so that's another thing sorted.

Smashing it out of the park! That's fantastic... I have bought next year's diary. That's as organised as I got. But I've ordered it too small. Haha.

Do you know I dream of being able to clean easily. Just a quick whip around and it will all be done. Rather than everything being a huge task as it is now. That's not going to happen until DH gets on with things, but I can still dream

Pleased with my ebay sales today, some bulky stuff gone I've emptied 2 boxes. I've also got some more stuff going out this weekend which should save some more space.

Little miss is now 2 When did that happen!?

    Happy birthday little miss

Well done on clearing the clutter and the PADding. I'm good at clearing out but getting Mr Retired to let go of things is hard. We have a garage full of tools that he'll never be able to use again and a cupboard full of LPs and 45s.
