Is it worth getting an asbestos survey? 20th Mar 17 at 3:47 PM
    Hi all

I am in the process of buying a flat that has not been decorated in about 20-30 years (built in the 70ís). it has artex ceilings and walls and also an old warm air gas heating system

I have been reading about asbestos being in flues and artex, is worth having an asbestos survey done (cost about 100-200£) before I start to decorate?

We had it done on a house we were looking at built in the early 80s it was negative. We didn't buy it in the end anyway. Cost about £100. IIRC.
