    Zopa Soft Check?

Zopa Soft Check? 20th Mar 17 at 3:03 PM
I'm looking for a loan and entered my details in the Zopa website.

It did a soft check to give me more exact repayment figures:
here's our best selection of rates for you
We've calculated your rates based on the information you gave us.

They're exactly the rates you'll get (subject to approval).

Adjust the amount and term to find the perfect loan for you.
Then there's a 'Choose this loan' button.

Have I been pre-approved by the soft-check? Will clicking 'Choose this loan' submit my application?

All seems a bit simple. I've just been rejected for a similar loan by Natwest.

    Thanks!

    It says 'subject to approval'.

    So it's not yet guaranteed.

I've had the same. I'm guess it means you are approved to apply. Not that you are already approved for the loan.

Ah right, thanks. How lenient are Zopa? They've quoted 8.9% APR before fully applying.

Mine says approved. Says money will be in my account in 3 days. Then email to say they are checking and will be in touch. So don't know if it's approved or not. Confussed.
