Interest on Mortgage before completion 20th Mar 17 at 8:03 AM
Hi, I recently bought a new property. Unsurprisingly the process wasn't as smooth as I hoped.
There was a delay between our initial completion date & when we actually completed, therefore, I have been charged interest on the mortgage funds that were sat in my Solicitor's account before being resent back to the lender (Santander).

I have been charded 8% over 4 days.

My question is am I actually liable for that bill?

    Thank you

Of course, if you believe someone else is responsible for the delay, you can ask them to stump up, etc.

Who was responsible for the delay in completing?
