Halifax further advance 16th Mar 17 at 2:04 PM
Anyone taken out a further advance for home improvements with Halifax?

We have plans for an extension and have asked for 40K to fund it. They've said that they can lend us that amount, but will only release the money upon receiving a final invoice. Which means the work has to be completed before they'll pay out the money.
Surely this isn't right? No builder will build a large extension without seeing any money upfront.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks
