    O/S Daily Thursday 16 March 2017

This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

    Morning everyone

Hugs to those that want/need one x

Happy birthday to those with a birthday x

DH up and gone to work stupid early, DS1 now getting ready for work and DS2 still in his pit, will wake him shortly.

Dinner last night was HM quiche, (using up pastry, gammon and mushrooms from the fridge), egg fried rice dish with LO chicken from the fridge and peas, cous cous stuffed peppers roasted in the oven and onion rings - it was a bit of a mixture but used up several bits that would have been thrown away and was nice to have something different. Tonight again I'm not sure, I really haven't planned very well this week, so that is something I must do today/tomorrow as it's been difficult at night trying to organise a meal and I didn't spend any less at the SM so I'll have a look in the freezer to see what's in there and can make a plan for the coming week.

I'm now on days off, and there seems to be a washing mountain, I'll get going with this shortly, although I've washed and put a load on the line 2 days already this week, hoping today I can do the same, although there looks to be very little wind, so it may not dry, we'll see. I'll be heading into town to visit the bank, building society and the butchers this morning. I'll then be coming home to get on with the "to do" list - which seems to be a rather big list this week!

    Keep safe and well x

    Good afternoon everyone

Happy belated birthday Tru, hope you had a lovely day xx

Well, my day has been very good. The nurse was pleased at my weightloss (3 stone) since the last time I had seen her. She managed to get blood out of me and even found pulses in my feet...eventually . I have to go back on the 5th April when I will have my annual MOT for being mentally interesting . My B.P. was a bit high but hopefully it will be better the next time I go. All in all I left there without feeling awful so that was great.

My friend rang me while I was in the clinic to ask if I wanted a Maccy D's for lunch . Of course I said No hahaha not really, she brought me a burger and fries which was really nice. She stayed for a few hours as well which was lovely as I have missed her company.

Just waiting for our gorgeous grand children to appear clutching their bags for the weekend. My eldest DD is also very excited to be going to London for her special birthday. I really hope she and her husband have a fantastic break as they have had difficult times over the past few months.

DD14 managed school today and I am so proud of her for doing so. She didn't actually have too bad a day and is now relaxing with her sisters. I am sure she will be alright in the end and really our family is probably the best place for her as we are so open about mental illness and how we can help each other. I just would like her to have a calm few days now.

Hope everyone's day went well, take care xx

Snoozer Happy Birthday for tomorrow -I doubt I'll be on tomorrow as we are heading to Wales for the weekend.
Been busy tidying ,ironing and packing some stuff to take. The weather is taking a turn for the worse here, just our luck

I wondered about the yellow bandanas for Ly1a and have looked at Yellow Dog,but then thought if someone can read what it says they'll be too close anyway and I'll have taken evasive action.

Dumpling glad DD had a better day.

    Peaceful evenings everyone xx

Something that really hisses me off, when you send someone a parcel and they do not have the grace to acknowledge it!!

Some one I know will not be getting a wedding present from me, I cannot believe my GD has been brought up that way.
