A Scam Re Yahoo Mail 15th Mar 17 at 5:56 PM
I'm assuming the following is a scam. I'm posting for two reasons: just to be sure it is a s arm but also to alert other members
    Dear Yahoo user,

We’ve noticed that you’re accessing Yahoo Mail from a mobile device using an outdated version of the app. We are currently in the process of updating our Yahoo Mail services. As a result, any versions of the Yahoo Mail app older than 4.0.0 for iPhone or 5.0.0 for Android will stop working in April.

We strongly recommend that you update to the most recent version of the Yahoo Mail app to avoid any future interruption to your Yahoo Mail access.

    1. On an iPhone or iPad, upgrade your Yahoo Mail app directly from the App Store to version 4.0.0 or later.

    2. On an Android phone or tablet, update your Yahoo Mail app directly from Google Play to version 5.0.0 or later.

If you are unable to or decide not to update your version of the Yahoo Mail app, we recommend using Yahoo Mail on the mobile web at: https://mail.yahoo.com.

If you’ve already taken action on this, you can disregard this email.

Thanks for being a loyal Yahoo Mail user.

    Best regards,
    Yahoo Mail

Why do you think it's a scam? Seems genuine enough to me.
Do you not have the Yahoo app?

It's telling you to download the latest version of the app from the app store or Google Play store, so I don't see where the scam would be?

    That's totally legit.
Its not trying to temp you to click any shady links
And it is advising you to download the latest app from the official store.

I'm guessing there were also no suspect attachments, and it is not asking you to divulge any credentials.

Good on you for being vigilant - Although perhaps its time to move to a good email service such as Gmail

But your message doesn't contain any dodgy links, so is safe.
