    Hi All,

    For non-UK citizen [who is working temporarily in UK],
    is it possible to get the National Insurance money back when He/She leaves UK ?

    Please advise.

    You can't claim back National Insurance unless you have overpaid somehow and are due a refund of the over payment.

    Which country are you a citizen off? Is is outside of the EU?

    NI is a tax not a personal "pot", you can't ask for it back when you leave the UK in the same way you can't ask for your income tax back.

    You can ask for it back, you just don't get it back.

    And when you ask for your income tax back you do sometimes get some back, all depends on the timing of when you stop work and leave the UK.

    Stop today and quite possibly no tax would be due back but stop at the end of the summer and you could easily get all of the tax (not NIC) back you'd paid in the tax year you leave the UK.
