Returned Direct Debit to Virgin credit card 14th Mar 17 at 7:59 PM
Ok, hands up, I've messed up...

I recently moved my direct debit from BOS to Barclays for my Virgin credit card
Stupidly, I did this 3 days before the payment was due to be taken.
Even more stupidly, I cancelled the direct debit with BOS.
I realised what I had done, so made a debit card payment for the minimum amount to avoid a late payment.

According to my Virgin account the direct debit has been taken, but no money has left Barclays or BOS.
I'm guessing they have tried to take it from BOS, but as the direct debit is cancelled, it will get returned unpaid in a few days.

My question is: Will I lose my 0% deal because I have had a direct debit returned?

I'm quite happy to pay the £9 "returned direct debit" charge because it is my mistake. But would be gutted if I lost the 0% deal.

As soon as the direct debit is returned I will call Virgin, but does anyone have any ideas what will happen?

You've made the minimum payment required on time. It's irrelevant how it was made. Reinstate the dd ready for next month.

You will get a letter from virgin saying your dd been cancelled blah blah blah. no charge.
