removing red algae marks from external render 14th Mar 17 at 11:27 AM
Iím looking for the best way to clean the render on the outside of my house.

My house is 13 years old and the last year or so I have noticed more and more red marks appearing.

A few houses in the area had their exterior painted last year but Iíve noticed the marks are coming back through already.
Iíve been told this is algae and needs to be removed before painting.

Does anyone have any experience with removing these marks?
Iíve done quite a bit of research and it sounds as though bleach and a stiff brush will help or moss killer but looking for some 1st hand experience before I go up the ladder!

    Thanks!

Thank you NeverinDebt. I will give Patio Magic a go as I can get it in my local Homebase!

Hopefully I will have a good result from using it.

    Appreciate your reply :-)

Takes a few days to act I use a 5 litre spray gun. I use it on my flat roofs to remove algae, driveway and on allotment greenhouse and water tank. saves all hard work using a pressue washer or harsh bleach
