    I think Im going to have to buy a new vacuum cleaner but I am on a tight budget so dont want to spend any more than £30 to £40 quid. an anyone recommend one? Dont mind if its bagged or bagless.

    If you've not yet done so, join your local Freecycle group (google to find your nearest) and see if one is on offer. Quality varies hugely but round here, good quality stuff crops up the whole time, so well worth a look.
