Single day learner driver insurance? 12th Mar 17 at 12:01 PM
I recall five years ago when I first had lessons my parents took out a month's learner insurance for me on the car to practice outside of lessons.

Anyone know if insurance companies offer learner insurance for a single day or two?

It's worth phoning up the existing insurer and ask them, there's also separate companies that offer day insurance in addition to an existing policy and that can be added for learners.

Another option I went for with my sister was to hire a learner car, they offered them for a tenner an hour for Corsas marked up as learner cars with dual controls and additional mirrors. I found a couple of hours a day was plenty for her when learning.
