Make 10 a day March 2017 - everybody most welcome to join 28th Feb 17 at 10:26 PM
    Hello and welcome everybody

This is the 115th month of this challenge, which was first started by Batgirl, in September 2007.

Thanks to Batgirl for starting it, lynnejk, Rawdinosaur, Emmaglet, Nat21luv, Monkeynut, Sweetpeas, Purpleroses, JesaRose, MizMir for keeping the thread going.

I know this first post is long, but please read as it give tips on how this challenge works. Some of the content has changed

If you're new to the challenge don't be scared - here's how it works:

The aim of this challenge is to make 10 extra a day everyday for the month. A lot of people think this is impossible but it can and has been done, over and over. If you feel 10 is too much why not start at 5 or if you're brave join those who aim for 20 a day! Anything extra you make is great so set whatever target you think you can manage.

It also doesn't have to be 10 each and every day - some days you make more and some days you make less, but aim for 310 extra at the end of the month.

The idea is that everyone posts how they are making extra money and these shared ideas help all of us to learn new ways to help cut debt or earn/save money.

    What cannot be added:
    Wages from your main job

    What can be added:
    Overtime
    Income from a second job
    Daily clicks
    Interest
    Vouchers
    Mystery shopping
    And much, much more.

This board moves pretty quickly, so be sure to subscribe and read it regularly. Below are some ideas to get you started and a great place to read when you're in need of inspiration.

    Sell your old books/DVDs/CDs/games here:
    Amazon.co.uk, play.com, webuybooks, zapper, CEX

Ebay - a place to sell anything and everything.

Gumtree, Preloved, cquot, ebid, craigslist, vivastreet, netmums.com, trade-it , Friday ad, priceminster - these are all places you can sell items too.

Survey sites - mysurvey and pinecone, prolific academic tend to be the best but there are many more it really depends on you finding the ones that work best for you - toluna, harris poll, valued opinions etc

also join Topcashback and Quidco - type in surveys in the search engine and some will pay you to join up with them.

Sealed Pot Challenge 2016 - basically you put your change into a jar over the year so in December you should have a nice pot of money to help

Mobile phone to recycle? try Martin's mobile recycling comparison site first to see where you may get the best deal!

Music Magpie - have cds/dvds you haven't been able to sell at carboots or online. Try your luck here. Is you do sell your albums/dvds be sure to go via quidco to get a few more pennies

etsy and folksy - If you enjoy making crafts why not have a go at selling them on etsy or folksy. They've been getting increasingly busier each year.

Collect Boots points while shopping online.

Don't forget to search for your online shop at nectar.com before you buy, and earn nectar points for buying online, including ebay.

Trying to find other ways to make money? Check out the Boost Your Income board. It is full of ideas, including survey companies and product testing.

Want to help someone else out? Sign up through their referral on the referral board, and leave yours, so someone else can do the same for you.

Keep reading for lots more ideas on how to make more money each month.

This month's challenge is to try and make 310 (or any amount of course!) lynnejk is assisting me and will create the challengers list and update it. She will also be answering any questions she can help with and here for general advice. Having been a challenger for a while, she knows her stuff Thank you lynnejk for your help.

Good luck everybody. Remember to post any questions or comments that you have, and let's go on encouraging each other throughout this month.

We can and we will do it. Who's in?

Could I join you for this challenge please?

Been lurking for a while but really didn't think I'd get near 10, but I have started matched betting and survey sites and think I could easily hit the target with a bit of motivation of sticking to this challenge

Welcome, Missymae. We're a friendly and helpful bunch on here so anything you'd like to know please just ask. Here's to your moneymaking success

Congratulations to everyone who has posted their recent successes

angelicious, I'm totally in awe of how much you have made so far this month. Looks like there's loads more to come too before March is over. Very well done

Nothing payable yet from Quidco, unlike some of you, but I'm having a nightmare getting my account re-validated by TCB. All I did was change my email address and it was all authorised by Quidco almost straight away. Pity I don't have any money to claim from them at the moment. I have 67 within days of being payable from TCB so I hope they can get things sorted before the end of the month. Have submitted tickets (twice) but still seem to be going round in circles getting a solution

Moan over. It's a lovely springlike day here, although pretty windy. Can't let something like cashback issues dampen my mood. I hope you're all enjoying your Sunday

I had a few missing notifications from MSE too and I know I definitely didn't unsubscribe from receiving them. It's a real pain when it happens and I really sympathise.

I know Lynne is on holiday but please don't worry about the thread going to pot whilst you are ill and not posting much. We'll do our best to hold the fort and keep things ticking along. If anyone has a query they may have to wait a bit longer than usual for an answer but I'm sure no one will mind in the circumstances

Take good care of yourself and get well soon

    thanks CBC and FatVonD.

have decided it's a virus as colds don usually last so long and make me want to sleep all day.

I won 2 tickers to cinema with a comp so DH went to use them today with DS. The lady told him he could buy tickets for 4 or waste 26 tickets on kids am. he didn't get it so opted for 4 kids am.

so glad and so pleased she told him even though he didn't understand. so will save those for a film we want to see maybe when he has a day off same time as me

5 cashed out with onepulse. love that phone app. I cash out faster as am at higher level and get 25p paid pulses.

1 cashed out with snatch app although getting bored with not winning any decent prizes. friend loving the now tv 2 month passes I am giving her.

    3 from on device.

there a new phone app for those that like to play and earn. it's called Carling Tap.

they give you a choice of two football players . you choose one. if they score goals during the televised games you win prizes. I won some carling. you buy it and claim back. but it's free.also football tickets. someone has won a vip pass.

I got the 1 sale offer from eBay again. Had to list today. So far I've listed 6 things. I did one at buy it now and it sold in less than 5 minutes...perhaps I priced it too low Still, I'm happy with what I sold it for and it's one less bit of clutter in the house.

So that's another 45.94 profit after eBay and Paypal fees. New total for March 538.79

I too sympathise with tooth troubles. Hope you'll feel better soon Von. I'm sometimes up and about posting on here in the middle of the night, toothache being the only thing that ever keeps me from sleeping. Not sure mine is toothache as such though, I suspect it's neuralgia as it clears up after a day or two on painkillers. Plus, it's never the same tooth/teeth that ache each time. Haven't had a dental check up in ages (that'll teach me) mainly from expense reasons rather than a dentist phobia.

My payment for the phone book delivery arrived in my bank account overnight. Can't believe how fast this company paid. Nice to have it by BACS too, the previous company to have the delivery contract used to send a cheque ages after the work was done.

Adding the 138.90 to my total and am really pleased March is turning out to be more profitable than other months this year

Wishing you all a healthy and successful week

Hey CBC......thats a lovely amount to add from your phone book delivery!! Well done!

I could do with one of them to increase my steps for my 2000 miles in year challenge. I think I may be on track for that though and may even aim for 3000!
