Looking bright this morning but rain due again in afternoon.
Just to let you know that I won't be about next week as we are going to a caravan near St Abbs tomorrow and won't have the internet very much. Will try and read what everyone is up to if I get the chance.
Going to try and get a bit of gardening done this morning. My washing is up to date including the dreaded ironing!

Wingo, lovely to hear your winning news . Hope the tent arrives soon and hope you get a lovely holiday with the money. My luck has left me this year so just as well I am getting bargains and free point breaks with IHG.

    Wishing everyone a lucky week.

    Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok on this glorious Sunday.

Thank you very muchly for the overnight rain fire**fly.
Did the garden a power of good and it's a beautiful start
to the day here now and the sun is shining away.

Crikes ... just been outside to sort out kerfuffle! To cut a
long story short - yesterday evening local moggie was in
the garden showing great interest in one of my plant pots
on the patio. I went outside to investigate and found a
baby bird tucked in behind the pot cowering from the cat.

Had to shoo the moggie away twice and thankfully this
morning baby bird had survived the night and was being
fed by the parents ...... and the cause of the kerfuffle this
morning ..... bloomin' cat was back!

I tend to be a mother hen sometimes - but sadly I know it's
in the nature of a cat to hunt. Ho hum.

Luckily all is well out there at the mo, moggie has disappeared
and parents are back feeding the chick.

I had the most amazing win on a scratchcard the other day... £1,000 Someone has definitely been watching over me this week! It was one of those where you get so many words and I kept scratching a bit off, doing jobs then going back to it as it was taking ages. I couldn't believe it when I realised what I won!

Sheils, they were all sons trophies he won Wednesday night. He got over 40 goals, was top goal scorer and the team went on to win the league and get promoted so he got players player of the season and parents player too so he done well

Well no sign of my tent yet. Hope it comes on Monday when DH is in. I might even put it up in the garden if the weather is nice!

So pleased your brother is doing well - can't believe it's 2 years

Your son has done so well too winning all the trophies! Big
congrats to him - what a star!

Hope your tent arrives soon - bet you can't wait to try it
    out.

Just seen your post sheils - hope you have a wonderful
break and a lovely time. I didn't manage to do my
dreaded ironing in the end yesterday evening - it's still on
    my to do list!

Time for a cuppa me thinks.

Have a brilliant and safe day all whatever you have planned. I will
    catch up later.

Wingo Congratulations on your scratchcard win! Pity that there wasn't more zeros on the end of that figure!

    Afternoon everyone
Just waiting on kids to get ready and pop out somewhere while it's mild. They are so laid back, I was always up early and out as a kid!

Thanks everyone re- scratch win I need to get son a new bed and DD wardrobes so it's come in very handy! 3for...one more letter and it would have been 10k

Have a great time at the caravan Sheils and fingers crossed the weather is good for you I saw a great deal on wowcher for park resort holidays in a caravan but I don't think we can make the dates as DD has gym comps and DS footy tournaments!

    ((Hugs)) for today Rose xx

Love the cat pic fire**fly! I've seen lots of lovely cats lately I would love one too but the others aren't keen. I don't think Jasper would be happy either!

Aw poor baby bird Alfie, I do hope it's ok from puddy! It's a pity you couldn't make some sort of shelter for it that only birds could get in

Well popping out for a bit before the rain comes back! See you all later
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone!

Afternoon peeps. Got very dark here about five minutes ago and it is now tipping it down. So that is plants all watered. Hate it when that happens as my young annuals and other soft plants get flattened. They seem to revive themselves but look a bit bedragled until the sun gets back at them.

Morning peeps. Little bit cloudy this morning but I can see blue sky. Need to nip up to doctors later but do not seem to have the energy yet this morning. This virus is knocking lumps out me. Was told while I was in hospital that I just have to be patient as it can take a while to clear your system. Also need a few things from shops so DIL is popping in later. Hope I am finding everyone well. Be lucky.

    Hi everyone

I hope your virus clears up soon rose - unfortunately they
do sometimes tend to drag on and on.

Sending get well ((hugs)) to you - hopeful that every day finds
    you feeling a little better.

It's another lovely weather day here - been out this morning
stocking up with provisions - it's very muggy though!
Apparently it's set for the week with Wednesday being an
absolute scorcher - so they say! It'll probably end up in
    a huge thunderstorm!

All is calm in my garden after the baby bird/moggie kerfuffle
these past couple of days. The moggie in question hasn't
been back yet - maybe it's been put in 'time out'
Aww - feel quite sorry for it now though - but really don't
like to see anything being hunted on my patch.

    Meanwhile the chick is thriving.

Have a brilliant and safe day all whatever you have planned.
    Take care.

Good evening all, rained overnight but managed to dry washing this afternoon. Had Douglas again today and managed to get him outside for his wees so thats an improvement but it is like having a baby in the house again LOL.

Very well done on your win Wingo and enjoy getting the things that you need with it.

My £50 Hobbycraft voucher came today and my scissors. Spent it already, got a knitting bag that was half price, wool for a cardy that was 3 for 2, rotary cutty and blades, and 2 lots of sewing machine needles so well pleased with this win, very useful for me.

Hope you are feeling better now Rose.

Are you well on the mend now leanfun?

Sounds like you haven't had good weather either firefly.

Hope you baby bird survives Alfie. We had 6 finches all at once on our bird table today, they are beautiful.

Enjoy the rest of the eveing everyone.

Well done getting some good bargains on your hobbycraft card Sylvia Its great when a win is something you really want!

It's been a bit like that here today too fire**fly, it's been windy, cloudy, sunny, drizzly! The only thing missing was snow! Hope you managed to catch up with everything xx

Sheils, I imagine you're having fun at the caravan. Hope you get some Internet on too

That's great that the little bird is safe Alfie I read about it supposedly warmer on Wednesday too. I really hope it stays warm in the school summer hols too as it's usually wet and miserable. The kids only have 5 more weeks end of the week!

Hope the virus goes soon Rose, take things easy xx

We went to Saltburn yesterday and took Jasper. We had a good walk in the park there but Jaspers paws are sore now. He's really feeling sorry for himself!
Still no sign of tent, I think I will email them as they did say they were sending it out last week.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone!

Really pleased with the Hobbycraft win Wingo thanks. Glad you had a good day at Saltburn, poor Jasper.

Big hugs for anyone needing one today and enjoy your day everyone.

Hi everyone. We are not long home from a visit to DD2 for GS's forth birthday party on Saturday. She also has two year old. DD1 and GS went too but only for one night. Not far from you Alfie so very warm weather and no rain. We were able to use the Jury's Inn voucher for last night and had a good breakfast too. We broke the train journey home to meet my sister, her daughter and two year old GD for a lunch but we couldn't eat much after big breakfast. It was so hot on train home.

    Alfie pleased little chick survived.

I'm fine now Sylvia thank you, except I can't kneel down and occasionally in bed back aches. So well in time for this last weekend. So pleased you were able to buy what you needed with craft vouchers.

Rose hope you are feeling much better soon. Our DS took ages to be better from virus in the winter. You just have to be patient, take care and hope it goes soon.

Wingo brilliant to hear of your scratch card win, over the moon for you. Well done to your DS he sounds really talented. You and DH must be so proud. Something to give him confidence. Great news about your brother.

3forhols hope you had a good shopping trip. Not long before school hols.

Indie agree when you can have washing dry quickly and put away.enjoy your days off.

Hope weather is good for you in caravan Sheils and you both have a good week.

Firefly pleased to here I'm not the only one who fafs about. Hope you are well. We are just not ready for hot weather when it occasionally comes.

Glad you had a good couple of days away Leanfun and hope your GS had a great birthday

Fire**fly, we all have them faffing days! Isn't it your bday coming up too if I remember rightly? I've lost my little book with bdays in so I forget now!

Enjoy the sun tomorrow Alfie and hope you manage to cool off too

Have a good couple of days off indie. I've had a line full of washing out all day too and only just brought the last in now. I love warm nights.

Sorry to hear you're still not too good with the horrible virus Rose xx

Lovely pic Sylvia If you go to see your sister in seaton Sylvia apparently the parking charges have now came into force according to our local paper.

Well my tent came today however the accessories pack had 3 items missing as shown on comp pic so I've messaged them to see I might put it up in garden at weekend to try it out!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone!
