    Good morning everyone

It's going to be another decent weather day here - took
myself off yesterday to my lovely local garden centre - bought
a few raffle tickets for a wonderful cause ....

    http://www.gardenreleaf.co.uk/

'Since Garden Re-Leaf began in 2012 Greenfingers Garden Re-Leaf
Day has become a major feature on the garden industry’s calendar
and with your help has raised an incredible £390,000 for
    Greenfingers Charity.

To date Greenfingers have built over 50 inspiring garden spaces in
hospices around the country and thanks to your support, the
funds raised last year through Greenfingers Garden Re-Leaf Day
    are already making a difference.

With more magical children’s hospice gardens in the planning,
build or design stages, the money you raise will help us make such
a big difference. We’re currently on site at

    Keech Hospice Care (Luton)
    Helen House (Oxford)
    and planning new gardens at
    Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice (Maidenhead)
    Grace House (Sunderland)
Robin House on the banks of Loch Lomond, St Andrew’s Hospice (Grimbsy)

and we have more hospices waiting in the wings for our help.'

So pleased that you're over the cold sylv but sorry to
hear that you've now gone down with it indie - hope you
    feel a little better today.

Have a wonderful break away sheils, it all sounds lovely!

Well - must get on - have a wonderful Sunday all and take
    care.

Afternoon all. Had a busy morning. Found out what happened yesterday. Some idiots held up a security van a few miles away. Nobody was hurt as far as I know. But goodness those men in the security van must have got some fright.

Love the cute pic fire**fly and Sylvia Its funny how you both posted the same pic
Glad you're feeling better Sylvia and hope you do soon too indie xx
That sounds very serious Rose, hope the security driver was ok.
The hotel sounds wonderful Sheils. I'm sure you'll have a great time whatever the weather
Good luck with your comp Chick! I give up on posting comps when I had to start using iPad!
Good luck with the hospital appointment tomorrow fire**fly and hope all is well with you now xx I've got DD2 at orthodontist after school then she gets her braces fitted on Tuesday.
Hope you've had a good productive day Alfie I looked at my garden today which is looking more like a mud track now and I've been trying to plan what to do with it. I remember BarnabySue getting artificial grass on hers and her dogs never bothered with it so I would love some too but it need rotovating first
I've been able to get on and catch up with the college course work today while DD was at a party. Got all my ironing and washing done too. It's amazing what you can get through when you don't have a kid clinging on to you!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone!

Feeling a bit stiff this morning so going to have a soak in the bath after I have my cuppa. Hope everyone is feeling well. Take care and be lucky. bit of trivia for today. It is National Happiness Day. It is Vera Lyns 100th Birthday.

    Morning dull here too.

Firefly hope your appointement has gone well. Great you are going by taxi.

Sylvia pleased you are feeling better. Hope Indie is better soon and you have a restful week off.

Wingo agree with you much you can get done without children about when you have the energy.

Good luck today chick with Comp.

Alfie thought I'd start garden yesterday but didn't make it out there. Still it's very pleasing to see the forsythia out through the window. I love it.

Hope everyone has a great and lucky week.

    Morning all,

Enjoying our break, went to Kelvingrove Park and then the Museum and Art Gallery there. Had never been before. It is amazing with so much to see. We ran out of energy TBH! Few heavy showers about so will need to watch what we are doing today or will get soaked. Bit worried about tomorrow as snow forecast and we are heading north.

Hope you get on OK FF - glad you are making life easy for yourself and taking taxi. Sometimes it is better to splash out.

Must get on and walk some of my enormous breakfast off.
    Good luck to everyone.

    Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok on this very wet first day of Spring!

Always try to stay positive with the weather and it's
stopped raining at the mo ..... maybe it'll cheer up in
    a while!

Hope your hospital appointment goes well fire**fly -
good idea getting a taxi - saves all the 'faffing' about with
    getting buses.

Crikes rose, feel so sorry for the drivers of the security
van after the incident - it must have shaken them up
    big time.

leanfun - I also love forsythia plants - absolutely beautiful -
adding a brilliant splash of colour to the garden.

    Just found this:

The genus is named after William Forsyth (1737–1804), a
Scottish botanist who was royal head gardener and a founding
member of the Royal Horticultural Society

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forsythia

Big congratulations to Dame Vera Lynn on her 100th birthday.

Apparently to mark this special day her image will be
projected on to the white cliffs of Dover today when she
    officially becomes a centenarian.

Hope your DD2 gets on ok at orthodontist today wingo and
    the brace fitting tomorrow.

I can also remember BarnabySue getting artificial grass
fitted - it sounds like a brilliant idea for you - best get
    rotovating!

Hi sheils - sounds like you're both having a great time
despite the weather. Hope you don't encounter snow
    tomorrow!

Well must get on ..... wishing you all a ...

    Take care.

    Morning everyone!

Hope you all have a good day. Is anyone watching Sara Cox 24hr danceathon on the red button or listening on radio 2? She's incredible! i just donated, not much but I guess it all helps. I know a lot of projects locally funded by Comic Relief and they really are wonderful. God knows how she can dance for so long though, she's really going for it too, not just swaying around.

Speaking to neighbour in courtyard it turned really cold then on came hail stones. #Couldn't believe it. Watching Loose women and they were doing this thing with Jane Moore called the death clock. So looked it up on the internet (it is a fun thing only) filled it in and I am ok until September 3rd 2047. So if I last till I am 88 I will be ok with that. I will be 58 this June so 30 more years are fine.
