Enjoy your glass of wine Chick, you deserve it

Sylvia, hope your cold gets better soon xx it's really bitter outside today. Jasper refused to go out again so had to lift him! Lazy dog!

Did you get everything done you needed to fire**fly after your 'faffing' I've got lots of faffing about to do tomorrow hopefully when DD's gone to gymnastics.

I love your Irish poem Alfie Great find!

Rose, hope you find some more bargain candles! My mum has become obsessed with them and forgets to blow them out when she leaves the house!

Sheils, have you any plans for your next break? Hope you get another bargain. The kids are off for two weeks at Easter so I would love to take them away for a couple of days. It's just too expensive in holidays.

I'm not surprised DD1 gets so anxious on bus when she comes home from college. I went to meet her in town after college to take her to drs which is just along a road from bus station. When she got on bus to go home home after drs and showed her college free bus pass the driver had a go at her saying she was only meant to use it at bus station and claimed she was lying about being at college! He was a right jobsworth! DD won't argue with anyone but I certainly told him!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone!

    Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok on this tad wet (after rain through the
night) but due to be a glorious Saturday! I think!

Lol at 'faffing' - love the word - says it all really!

I also raised a glass of wine yesterday evening to
celebrate St Patrick's Day, rude not to (as chickaroonee
quite rightly said) and maybe I'll just have another
    one tonight!

Have a lovely and lucky day all and please take care.

    Good Morning,

Has finally stopped raining here although set to return in afternoon.
Didn't get out of house at all yesterday. Got a wash on so hopefully get some things hung out. Undies etc can go in drier.

Wingo, we are going to Glasgow tomorrow for 2 nights, then Glencoe for 2 followed by a night at Drymen near Loch Lomond. They were all special offers that I added together. Great the offers you can get if book early and are versatile. Unfortunately the forecast doesn't look good.
Hope you see something for your family. The best bargains are quite often when you book really early nowadays though.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

    sheils x

Police Helicopter is out again. I am getting a bit paranoid as it keeps hovering just to the side of where I live. There are also police cars whizzing up and down. Right off to shop for milk see what I can find out. Not that I am nosey or anything lol. Update . All traffic in to town is stopped and there is nothing coming out of town. So there is something going on. Don't know what yet.

Village Hotels have great sales every so often rose and I pounce on them! Having free parking is a big plus.
Have got 2 nights at Newcastle, Dudley and Bournemouth booked with them for the same price for later in year. Have stayed at the Blackpool one already this year too. The Glasgow one is lovely - stayed there last year. DD has stayed there twice too and thinks it is wonderful. She stayed at Citizen M and said Village Hotel was nicer
