Dog was asleep under his blanket on sofa when he heard the letterbox go, he is now running round the living room with the blanket hanging off him....lol.Just checked, it's just a charity bag come through door.Oh well must get on and do some advents. Hope you all have a lucky day.

Evening All. Well done indie and firefly on wins! Had my first December win a few skincare products for sensitive skin we have psoriasis here so super handy.
Yesterday was awful, everything wet wrong and ended me in crying at the side of the busy road in the cold at night with 3 very cold kids because to top it off the blooming bus that comes once an hour was 40 mins late, was the straw that broke the camels back ..or however the saying goes. Came home had some wine with hubby (haven't drunk in 7 months so woke up feeling awful this morning) Anyway my tea and biccie prize turned up. It was a lot-lot more than I expected 4 boxes of tea , 8 boxes of posh florentines, a t towel, apron and a notepad. So that made me cry again ..Ha Hormones!
Today has been much better a nice quiet workshop at the local museum then a treated us to tea out at The local Wetherspoons.

Tomorrow another museum workshop different museum. Saturday is Archeology group No digging now it's too cold, so finds processing and documenting. Then later the scouts joint nativity.

Keep safe and warm all meant to get cold tonight

Indie lol your dog sounds crackers, much like my youngest lad ha!

Hi everyone it's that stranger who keeps popping back in here!
Great to see you all having some wins on the advents I've been doing a few on fb but not as many as I'd like to do!

Well done on the win from August fire**fly Glad you got it and well done on the antlers cake decorations

Lovely win of the coat Sylvia very well deserved Hope it comes before the snow we are expecting at the weekend again! I looked outside last week to see what the dog was barking at and he was covered in snow! I didn't know it was snowing at the time!

That's great news you won a Xmas tree Leanfun Has it arrived yet? Have fun decorating it

Sheils, sorry you had sad news last week and hope things are better xx Stay warm and safe tomorrow as I saw that it's very windy your way tomorrow xx

Hope you're feeling better now Rose xx Good to see you back

Indie, well done on your zizzi win very nice

Aw I hope today is a better day mummy2three ((hugs)) xx I think it's good to have a good cry once in a while when it all gets too much.

I haven't been in here lately busy with work, decorating and I had DD1's 18th on Monday so had little celebrations. My brother hasn't been too well though and was at deaths door when he went in hospital. It was also his bday same day as DD's but was in hospital still. He is much better now thankfully.

It looks like I'll be late putting trees and decs up this yr with decorating the living room. Can't wait till it's done!
Must go do my tombola advent....I love that one!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone!

    Good Morning all,

Really windy here and been some heavy showers. DD's last day at placement today. She has had some dreadful mixed weather for driving in these last few weeks. She has Uni on Monday and then that is her until middle of January I think although she has modules and essays to do and working a few shifts in restaurant.
When I think back to when DS1 was at Uni and he had proper holidays. No wonder so many student nurses quit. Still at least Scotland still pays the bursary.
Anyway, was playing away on the Vouchercodes and Quidco games yesterday . 3 wins on Quidco which amounted to 60p! Will be giving up on it this time. Vouchercodes better and won a £50 Argos Voucher and a £5 Amazon plus more £10 Cineworld and £5 Cafe Nero ones. Don't like it when they don't send the email right away though, always scared they don't arrive.

Nice to see you wingo. Hope your brother is ok now and you managed a good celebration for DDs birthday. Good luck with Tombola.

Must have been terrible waiting on the bus mummy2. Not a bus fan especially at night unless they are frequent. DH used to be a bus driver so does get annoyed with me sometimes.

Well done on the wins everyone. Especially like the sound of the Zizzi one indie!
    Good Luck for today.

It's really windy here too fire**fly and very nippy. We meant to be getting snow back end of tomorrow. I bought some warmer quilts from the Boston duvet company that had an offer on with mse and without thinking I've bought 5 quilts instead of 4 thinking there's 5 of us, I forgot I share a bed with DH! They are really warm and cosy though.

Sheils, it used to be a bursery when I started nursing then they stopped it apparently. Hopefully it will pass quickly then she will be working soon

Good luck with your decorating too Alfie and hope you get your tree up soon I'm getting my new fireplace in first but DH is cracking on with it this time thankfully!

Well have woken up to a snowy scene - not like my picture but there is some! Hopefully have a nice view of snowy hills when it gets light.
I have had to cancel our trip to Chester on Sunday though, it looks like they are going to be seriously hit with snow the next few days. Luckily it was a cancellable hotel stay. Should be able to make Southport and Blackpool though. DH had been wanting to cross on the new Mersey Gateway bridge though as it is his home area and wanted to use it. He will have to wait now though.
At least DD won't have to drive in the snow today as it will be worse when you leave the coast here. She got an A for her placement so is over the moon although I think she put a huge effort into it. (23/24 score)
Anyway, Vouchercodes paid out all my Argos, Amazon and Nero vouchers so just the Cineworld ones to come now. That cheered me up!

Had to laugh at you buying 5 duvets wingo!

Must get our tree up too Alfie. DD was moaning when she was up for dinner on Tuesday. She usually helps DH with the ceiling ones as she is about 5ft 9" so more help than me.

Must get on. Hope everyone has a lucky day.

Wing great to hear from you. Hope your decorating is finished soon great your DH is getting on with it. Belated Happy Birthday to DD1 18 is special.
