Good morning all, been raining during the night and can't make its mind up what to do now.

Hi firefly, had to go off and find another pic today as we going to post the same one as you LOL. Welll done on your win.

Lovely to see new peeps in the Inn, welcome to old and new and good luck

Such a shame about the hedghog Alfie.

DD came yesterday and sat piecing together her works diary to enable her to transfer to a new one. Guess who is responsible? You got it Douglas. The trouble is he is so long that he seems to be able to reach everywhere LOL.

Have a lovely day and good luck to you all.

Hi everyone DH and I are back from our favourite island Madeira. We were some of the thousands repatriated by the Civil Aviation Authority having flown with Monarch. Have to say they were very organised. Thompson's brought us back at the same time as our Monarch flight was due last night. The previous Monday there was chaos at Madeira airport due to windy conditions. Some friends due home that Monday didn't make it back till Thursday. Some people were hours enroute and were even brought back to Uk. So we were very lucky.

We have only just had breakfast here. DH did go shopping for us. Been trying to catch up but not taking it in will try again later. GKs here till middle next week.

Hope all are well and good luck everyone.

Yesterday evening DS brought his two children from Scotland down to Gatwick and we all met up there. It was after midnight before we were home. In Scotland half term is earlier than in England. Am trying to write this while they are chatting. At 8 and 5 now they seem quite grown up. GD 5 is nearly as tall as her brother. She's had a big growth spurt since the summer.

    Afternoon All!

Weird day yesterday. Had to move a dead pigeon from outside of the office door into the bushes. Poor thing just landed in front of the door, laid down and died!

Today, I met one of our team newbies at work. Turns out she's big into competitions and is on the forum!

    Lucky dust to all!

Alfie blue ad firefly thanks for the recommendations, I'm not much of a tv person (i do like films though) Last thing I enjoyed was child in time. Think I prefer stories but get fed up with too many repeat series used to love prison break and orange is the new black but after so many series I find them a bit samey..too much of a book person .

Glad your feeling better Indie. sleep is great remedy x I keep getting a sore throat but goes away after an hour , 2 weeks thats been going on tisk, either come or go can't be doing with the messing about!

Euronorris thats a small world lol..could be worse hobbies to bond over!

Won a set of essential oils today which has lifted my mood so much, I was feeling so terribly despondent (I have severe depression) Not been on meds for 2 years but sadly I need to re-evaluate as I can feel stuff creeping back in..hoping to kick "it" back out the back door , "It" can stay out there !

Off tomorrow To a workshop at my local Cathedral then right after going to the Royal Albert Hall for the School proms, Then Thursday we Have Karate and a glass fusing workshop (We have been a home ed family for almost 5 years) , Tad busy at the mo , busy but enjoyable.

    Good morning everyone

Fairly busy day yesterday ... there's me thinking my hair
appointment was next week ..... thought I should just
double check the date ... and blow me it was yesterday!
Managed to get there in the nick of time. Hair is all
    neat and tidy again.

Great to hear that you're feeling better now indie - hope
all went well with your car.

Oops! Naughty little Douglas Sylv! I bet he won't
stay in the doghouse for long though!

Welcome back from beautiful Madeira leanfun. Bet you had
a brilliant time and well done to Thompson's for sorting out
your travel after the shock announcement of the demise of
Monarch. Sounds as if you are going to have a fun-
filled busy time with the family over the next few days.

It's amazing how many people are into comping euronorris -
especially using MSE. It's such a brilliant site! Sad news
about the poor pigeon's demise though.

Well done with winning the essential oils mummy2threeboys!
Sounds as if you've got a very busy and brilliant few days
ahead - have a wonderful time.

Have a lovely and lucky day all and please take care

I've started sprucing up my lounge now ... it was needing
doing - made a start yesterday - it's looking much better

The furniture is all over the place - puddy is happy though -
she's used to my ways - she's been playing hide n' seek
inbetween the bits and pieces and having a few ninja cat
    moments!

    Betty thread .....

Apparently October 12, 1999 was known as the 'Day of 6

    Good morning everyone

I hope you're all well on this Friday the 13th!

Many thanks for the Tipping Point link fire**fly. Guess
what - I forgot to watch it! Fiddlesticks! How did 'one of
    our own' get on?

Well ... looks as if most of us are in for a fairly decent weather
weekend before the tail end of Storm Ophelia comes our
way! May be a tad windy!

Can't believe it's the anniversary of the Great Storm of
1987 this weekend! Poor Michael Fish! I can remember
the storm as if it happened yesterday.

19th April, 2013 by Chris Cox

Diageo has enlisted the services of infamous UK weatherman
Michael Fish to promote its new Talisker Storm release as it unveils
    the world’s first interactive storm.

A 25ft-high installation has been designed to take the tempestuous
weather of Talisker’s home on the Isle of Skye around Europe to
promote its new Storm expression, kicking off on 24 April at 6-
9pm on the Southbank side of the Design Museum, London.

Intrepid members of the public will be invited to don wellies and
rain macs and venture into the heart of the storm, which features
a rough battering of wind, rain, lightning, fog and thunder.

Fish became infamous for his incorrect weather prediction on 15
October 1987, when he dispelled rumours of a hurricane that
hours later hit the south coast of England causing record damage
and killing 18 people. It has since become known as The Great
Storm. Naturally, Fish’s association with and knowledge of storms
makes him the perfect speaker to educate the crowds on Skye’s
    weather system.
