Got up to a web thingy hanging from the ceiling on Friday and could not see spider anywhere until later in the day when I saw it crawling down the wall. It was huge compared to spiders I usually see about. Not afraid of them just wish they would stay outside.

Take care Rose. Hope you are better soon. Feel the same as you Rose about spiders.

Ho ho about house for sale Alfie and Firefly. On the one hand I like the idea of having it all done for you but love the privacy of not having other people coming in. Neighbour across the road whose husband died recently told me she has cleaners in and recommended them. She does have a bad heart condition. When I told DH he just looked at me and said nothing.

I used to moan at DH when we drove near Canterbury that he hadn't bought me a certain country house. It was a mansion in the countryside on a hill at the time for sale for about £4. Forgot to put million!

Hope someone in the Inn will be lucky this week.

Been raining here all afternoon as well shiels. Hopefully it will be off here tomorrow as well. Made myself a nice dinner and it has stayed down. Had a piece of poached fish (done in milk) and some vegetables. So not too heavy. Was going to make a sauce for fish but decided against it. Didn't get out again but tomorrow is a must so fingers crossed or it is going to cost a fortune in taxis as my energy level is really low and legs are still a bit wobbly. Hope everyone is well tonight.

    Good morning everyone

Best wishes to all. It sounds as if you are getting a
little better rose. Hope you slept well and manage to get
    out and about today. xx

Sorry to hear that your DD is poorly sylv - maybe there is
a nasty bug doing the rounds? Hope today finds her
feeling a little better too. xx

Good luck with the new Quidco instant win sheils - hope
you pick a winning moment! Have a lovely time in
    Dumfries whatever the weather.

I'm the same about spiders in the house rose & leanfun.
Don't mind them outside now but inside the house is a big
no no. Apparently September heralds the start of the mating
season and male spiders invade our homes in search of
    females.

    http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/844376/UK-spiders-spider-threat-home

On that note I'll just scuttle off and make myself a cuppa!

Have a lovely and lucky day all - please take care whatever
    you're up to.

Good morning all, no pic as on ipad.

Enjoy your time in Dumfries, hope you manage a nice walk while you are there.

Glad you are feeling a bit better today Rose.

Thank you for the lovely pictures today.

Waiting on electrician to come and sort bathroom light out this afternoon.

Still waiting on to to come, apparently the post code had the first part of my old Durham address and part of this one, not quite sure how that happened so it went up there first and supposed to have been delivered back here yesterday. Hope it gets sorted out.

Good luck everyone for a good September.

Home again. Thank god todays chores are over lol no more till Thursday and Friday. (GS.s birthday). Can do what I like tomorrow which will be nothing lol. House is fine, fridge is full and may even pour myself a large gin and tonic. Not even cooking tonight, taking a lasagne out of the freezer. Anyone in the Inn winning? I have two tickets for Kirsties craft thing that is going on. Don't even remember entering as it is no where near me. As they are runner up tickets I would have even looked at that when entering.

Had no rain for a few hours here. Shiels hope it has been the same for you. Only has light rain for about an hour today. Nothing this morning but when I went out in afternoon had a few spits here and there, Nothing that you could not go and have a walk in. Still have a bright sky and off out for an evening walk shortly then neighbour and I are going to drop in to the pub for a shandy or gin and tonic for me. Don't like beer. So an hour socialising then home.

    Hi everyone,

Have had a busy day with taking the car for its service and spending few hours in Dumfries where it continued to rain until we left for home!
So didn't get a walk by the river or anything. It was a long hang on TBH although I managed to help DH pick 2 new pairs of glasses and they had them made up for him before we left so that saves another trip.
Had DD for dinner too. Think the weather is to be better tomorrow although late this afternoon was fine and I managed to dry a load of towels.

Well done on the win indie.

Not reading about the spiders Alfie - you know how I feel about them!

Hope blood tests go ok FF. Poor DD went for hers a little while ago to check she is covered for all the right ailments now and they couldn't get any blood. She has to go again next week for another attempt.

Hope everyone is feeling ok now.

    Good morning everyone

It's looking to be a decent weather day here today after
    a tad iffy day yesterday!

Hope your blood test goes ok today fire**fly. Lol - I'd
totally forgotten that you're our resident spider catcher!

Yesterday I decided to spruce up my garage inside walls -
needed to brighten them up as they'd become a very grubby
white. So out came the paint, brushes and stepladder and I
even found myself apologizing to the 'resident's' for the
upheaval! One even came out of his hiding place on several
occasions to watch my progress with his eight eyes!

Glad you're feeling so much better rose - hope you enjoyed
    your drinkies yesterday.

Sounds as if you had a very productive day yesterday sheils
    in Dumfries.

Brilliant win indie - very well done!

Hope your TV win arrives soon sylv and that electrician sorted
out the bathroom light yesterday. Is your DD feeling any better
    now? xx

Got a fairly busy day - have to go out this morning then
carry on painting the garage walls on my return along with
a rather long list of things 'to do'!

Have a lovely and lucky day all - please take care. xx

sounds like you had a good day yesterday sheils,
feel sorry for your DD having to go back for BT's x
hope all goes better for next week x

love the froggy pic this morning Alfie
saw 2 of them earlier hopping about down the
    bottom of the garden
lol, yes, i'm resident spiddy catcher here as well
there are certainly some very big ones this year
glad i'm not the only one who 'apologises' to them lol
I always feel guilty & say sorry when
cleaning out the shed if I break one of
    their hard worked webs

Had a decent morning but a showery afternoon. Really heavy one when we were trying to trim back a huge Budlea . Finished cutting it now but still to clear up as we were getting soaked!

Hope your blood test went ok FF. DD manged to get an appointment while she was at her Induction day today and they got her blood first time which was a relief for her. They are checking all her injections have worked and she doesn't need any more.
I have won £5 on Quidco now but I know someone who has won over £90 already!
