    Payment A Day Chapter 18 22nd Jan 17 at 3:05 PM
    *The principles of PADding*

Emily Hallett started a fantastic thread called 'a payment a day' which you can find via going to this webpage (sorry it won't work for me right now)

The thread is extremely supportive and friendly, with lots of madness and smileys to boot! It is ever increasing, which is why having hit 200 pages, challenge is continuing on a brand new thread.

The principle of the idea is that you pay any extra money you have against a debt to clear it a little bit quicker. Not everyone makes a daily payment, but instead they save money to make a lump sum at the end of the month. You can do it anyway you want to, but join the thread and let us know how you are getting on.

Some PaD-ers have cleared their debts and are now focusing on saving following the same principal, so they still post on the thread. Anyone is welcome to join in at anytime.

    Best wishes to everyone

    PS. Here are the rules

Well i need to find a new therapeutic music teacher in the autumn as my current one is off to join a buddhist monastery

Apart from that curve ball all good - freegle/freecycle came up trumps the other day with a bread slicing gadget . Love it!!! And I also have herbs on windowsill from supermarket to repot today (sounds messy - I could be gone a while LOL)

    Have a good day folks

    Morning All,

I hope that you're all doing well. I finally decided to get my head out of the sand and move some money around so that I could clear as much of my two overdrafts as possible, as the daily fee was a bit .

So with a balance transfer to a 0% credit card, to buy me more time to get back into employment, my PAD offering today is a massive £1,400. I've managed to clear the smaller overdraft and cut the other one in half so I am feeling much better about things. It was getting me down too much.

    Have a good day everyone,
    xx

Sorry I've missed the last 2 days I got really caught up in matched betting Cheltenham! Well worth it though, as soon as that money hits my account it'll be a PAD and a great one! I hate waiting for money to clear...

In the meantime I've looked at my credit cards and some promotional 0% deals are ending in the next 3 months, so I've done a balance transfer (to a card that offer 0% for 2 years with 0% fee) and now need to really focus on getting rid of the rest that's being charged interest.

So today I've paid £17.70 to Tesco.
PAD challenge starting over 2 March 2017!
    Barclaycard: 2581.37/5005.28 (51.57%) Tesco CC: 5396.86/5396.86 (100%) Next: 87.98/670.57 (13.12%) Santander CC 0/1515 (0%) Virgin Money 0/4400 (0%)

    PAYDBX2017: £3463.20/£11072.71 (31.28%)

Some great PADs being made lately and, just as important, some clear decision making on what to do about debts. Sometimes you get in a bit of a rut just trying to deal with things and it's always good to take a step back and check you are doing the best you can, getting the best rates etc.

For me survey money has ennabled me to make a payment of £25 to balance cc2 today please.
