The Smoosh Bottle........... 17th Jan 17 at 10:40 AM
Anyone else have one of these at home for all the loose change or smoosh as we call it?

We had quite a bit in various different tins & jars so I picked up one of those huge plastic coke bottle banks & the aim is to keep adding the smoosh from our purse & wallet until its full to the brim.

I'm gonna start getting some money bags stocked up from the bank in preparation of cashing it in(bit premature I know but I like to plan ahead ).

Our aim for the smoosh is..........well we don't actually have one Will wait until we cash it in then decide what to use it for.

£250 is amazing. Holy cow I could go on a holiday for that. Imagine how many red coats that would buy?????????? Maybe that's why my smoosh money box doesn't have that much in. But whenever Dolly posts it reminds all of us to put some in.

So yesterday added some smoosh to the bottle.

Decided yesterday that we are going to use the smoosh to pay for our anniversary trips every year.

That's a great reason to save and good that its a joint goal as a couple. A great incentive for you both.
    Aims for 2017 -
    1. save as much as possible. spend as little as possible but still have a social life !
    2. no takeaways !
    3. shop once a week - no "top-up" shops - no unnecessary spending !!

Got quite a big deposit in my bag, will add it to the smoosh bottle when I get home!

Been shopping & most places were like I am so sorry I have no £5.00 notes, that's fine with me! Hand me those shiny new pound coins for my little Priscilla to fatten her up

    £23.00 in £1.00 coins
    £0.50 in £0.50 coins
    £1.80 in £0.20 coins
    £0.08 in shrapnel

Not too bad, I really should be keeping this to try & get me through the month but going to put it away straight away.

One way to last on a tight budget is to not carry cash around with you, I feel money burns holes in my pockets as my Mum used to say!

If it wasn't for your idea of the smoosh bottle I would have had nothing. So a huge thank you from me.
