    £2 Savers Club for 2017

    £2 Savers Club for 2017 1st Jan 17 at 12:31 AM
Welcome to the £2 Savers Club 2017

The aim is to collect every £2 coin you can lay your hands on! It is entirely up to you whether you want to:
    A) Save for a particular length of time e.g. monthly or till December 2017,
    B) Save for a particular reason e.g. to pay the car insurance, to pay for a family holiday or to buy birthday presents throughout the year,
    C) Save until you have a specific amount e.g. £20 or £100 or a pot full!
    D) Save for any other reason you can think of...
You are also welcome to do what you wish with the money. Either bank it as you please or at the end of the year or spend it as required.

Above all else remember this is a fun thread, but the aim of this website is to SAVE, so any encouragement, comments or help you can give to others are always very welcome.

Anyone who wishes to join (or be removed though I hope that isn’t the case!) is always very welcome, please just ask and I will add you as soon as I can and allocate you a number. Also, if anyone wants to add anything to the list such as a target or a date to aim for etc. then let me know and I will add it. However there is no pressure to do this as many people just wish to be able to save as and when they can.

So that’s it. Start saving, comment regularly and hunt for those £2s. Any questions or comments please ask.

Well done Carlislelass on obtaining nine coins. I'm having a dry spell this week. The self service machines are not spitting them out.

That is a shame. Do you collect all the different types?

Had the odd coin here and there, which I've added to my signature total but didn't bother posting about. Having a good week this week though, 1 coin yesterday, 3 today, and 1 more at work which I'll be able to get tomorrow (after finding 2 £1 coins in my jeans pocket tonight)!

I've just looked up the achievement I posted for 2016 and am pleased to see I've surpassed this already (just £162 last year); I'm looking forward to seeing where I'll get to and whether I'll make it to the end of the year before filling my pot of dreams to capacity!
    £12k in 2017 #027 £1900/£2500
    £2 Savers Club 201 #17 TOTAL: £278 (2013-2016 = £702)
New (lower interest) mortgage commenced 1.3.2016 with unlimited overpayment allowance.
Overpayments commenced 1.1.2017 (just £40 extra each month, but better than nothing!).

I had 3 this week. I'm so skint I shoved them in my pot quick as I need a tin opener to get into it. One was a William Shakespeare one. Crown & Dagger. I looked on eBay but selling at £2.80 not really worth the effort so it too went in the pot.
