    The365 Day Penny Challenge

The365 Day Penny Challenge 29th Dec 16 at 11:03 AM
A friend of mine has just started this challenge on Facebook and I thought it seemed like a fun way of saving.
I have started this thread to keep me motivated but if anyone wants to join me then please feel free to do so and I will start a challenger list.
Also if anyone knows of a simular challenge then please point me in the right direction as I have searched and can't seem to find one.
The idea of the challenge is that
    Day 1- Save 1p
    Day5- Save 5p
    Day 100- Save £1.00
    Day 365 Save £3.65

By the end of the year you will have saved £667.95.

I am not going to save in order of the day as it will get quite expensive as the year goes on but will do it according to the loose change I have at the time. I have started a spread sheet and will shade in each amount I have saved.

Looking forward to meeting fellow money savers

Just wanted to update and say I've been paid and am now up to £49.76. I add each month's payment in when I get paid so that is March covered. I'll add the odd £1 here and there when I can.

    Happy 01st March!!!

When I started, I used to pay in every day. The novelty wore off haha - and so I've just paid the whole of March in today. I will try and chalk off a few more days in December too if I can.

I've been transferring monies when I can since the start of this challenge, thank hj.

So far up to £90, if possible I would like to save around £1000, but my first target is £667.95, which would be brilliant.

    Good luck to everyone

Can I have a number please? I've been doing this challenge since December so have quite a bit saved already as I'm working backwards (biggest amounts first) with odd amounts being ticked off the list as and when I get some change.

    Pay Day has arrived!!!

So, pay day has arrived at last... and this month my savings account matures - not loads in there - but enough to pay some extra into this challenge. As well as April, I'm paying off the rest of December, and most of November - up to and including my Birthday - so on that day - my challenge is effectively complete! It will be a nice treat to myself. Yee-ha!

    Total = £255.39 / £667.95

    P.S Helen - I don't have a number yet either

Payday yesterday so transferred March's amount in - am currently at £81.36. I transfer the odd amount in to the savings account I'm using for this challenge every few days to bump up the pennies. Back to update at the end of April!

Could I join please? I need to have some savings and this seems like an achievable way of doing it. I know the thread started a while ago, and I'll be out of sync but it's a bit of motivation to which is much needed at the moment. Keep putting odds and ends in a savings account and drawing them out when the going gets tough... Hopefully this challenge will keep me on track

I've added £21.45 to my savings account and that makes me on day 65.. My day 365 is 25th February 2018, but I would like to have this money for Christmas so may aim to add any surplus money to achieve that if I can.... Fingers crossed

I am so far behind with this. Had lots of days with no change or just old pound coins I don't want to put in. I'm doing it old school - money in awhisky bottle. Had a quick tally up and I'm up to £80ish but have put mostly smaller amounts in. Think I'm about 20 days short. Trying to catch up by putting larger amounts in
