    Walk 2000 miles in 2017 22nd Dec 16 at 8:29 AM
Myself and bugslet have decided to target walking 2000 miles in 2017.

Although a big target, I think it is achievable with consistent effort.

Anyone who wants to join us, feel free to post on this thread. Also feel free to post updates on your progress.

    Good luck and stride on!

Well done SplanK! My weight loss is 2lbs for the year, so lets not go there

Total up to 658 miles, so I'm pretty much on course.

Wow Splank!! Thats fantastic. Walking is so good in weight loss. A friend whi I work with has been walking sometimes 30,000 steps in a day and she has lost nearly three stone in less than a year. She is also following a diet plan but it just shows you what good exercise it is.
My walking keeps me at a stable weight but able to eat what I like
I swear if I didnt have such a physical job and walk as much as I do, I would be a ten ton tessa.

34.45 to add for me...........bit of a poor week. Been getting into yoga rather than more energetic classes and really enjoying it but it doesnt really boost your step count so will have to make more of an effort.

Easy week for me this week due to racing last weekend and again today. So only 29.4 miles done this week.
But a new 10k PB so I will happily take that instead.

Reporting in at the end of the 19th week 14 May 2017:

As of midnight Sunday night, I have walked 1159.75 miles putting me 419.26 miles ahead of schedule.

Here in the ME Ramadan is approaching. This will curtail my walking massively, given that I will be unable to drink water outside when walking during the day and the temperature is hitting 40+ most days now.

Made my miles this week, 39.6. I had hoped to build on my buffer but the weather was so good I focused on getting the garden in shape instead. And back to my normal training regime too. So happy enough with that. That's 102 miles against a target of 170 for May. Hopefully I can come in a bit over

    Well done everyone.

Another good week for me, just shy of 70 miles again
I should be off to a flyer for next week as I have an 8 mile walk with the Ramblers as well as whatever I do when out with the dog.

Checking in with 29.3 miles this week. Higher than I expected, and geez its hard to get a decent walking distance in at centre parcs Whinfell lol Managed to average 5 miles a day 'boots on' by walking around the perimeter then up and down the 'lanes' and through some wooded areas

Total for the year is now 906 miles. Almost at the half way point!
Not looking forward to Tuesdays weigh in..... I well and truly indulged and now going through sugar withdrawal again :'(

35.86 miles to add for last week which again is a bit poor for me. Got a new alta fitbit and I swear it doesnt pick up as many steps as my old fitbit

Anyhow..........wont be here for a few weeks as going on a cruise. Hoping to get a few steps in finding our way round the ship and exploring the places we stop at.

Keep up the good work everyone!
