Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2017 13th Dec 16 at 8:02 PM
Welcome to PART 1 OF Pay ALL Your Debt Off By Xmas 2017!

Firstly I would like to welcome all new and existing members from last years thread.

Anyone is welcome to join this challenge and it is NEVER too late. There is also no amount of money too small or too large that will stop you from joining this challenge. We have several members who will be on their debt journey for several years to come, but they are part of this thread to pay off a fixed amount of their debt as the support on here is fantastic!
So, if you think you can pay off all your debts by Christmas or have a goal to pay off a certain amount then please join in!

This challenge runs until 27th December 2017.

To help me run this thread easily, could you please all post your totals in large text and in a bold colour and post the amount you have paid off // target amount

It would also be a big help if you could also put with it your challenge number.
i.e. another £50 paid off so now the total paid off for

    #001 is £315.43/£7685.67
By the way, don't worry about working out your % paid as I can do that for you!

    Afternoon all!

We've come to the decision (well, I have, OH doesn't really know anything about our finances, he leaves it to me!) that I want as little of a minimum monthly debt payment as humanly possible as I only get SMP, nothing extra through work so I'm overpaying to mortgage. our car loan and our 0% card which paid for our New Zealand flights (none of these are in my signature as they are joint debt rather than the massive amount I racked up years ago) we do have the money in savings to cover the NZ card but I'm planning to leave that as savings and pay it off through normal monthly income, giving us a buffer when little one arrives. It might not make much sense to anyone else but it's the best plan for me mentally at the moment

Not sure if this counts as going on here, but I have just changed my car to enable my debts to reduce, and I have taken £6875 off my total debt.

I have over paid my loan by £200 this month as well. x

#46 with a payment of £10 please Muppets.....

However, when I logged on this morning to the loan account it was £166.73 less for some reason, no idea how that happened as there were no more payments gone in...must have been an adjustment of some sort (early Christmas present from official secret santa??) ....don't know how to adjust the figure here now......the total outstanding at the moment is £4427.27

Hello, pay day has been and gone so I have £100 today to put to my CC. I had hoped to have a little more but I got engaged a few weeks ago so we've had a few celebrations to pay for and I bought my fiance a present, only fair, I got a ring

Looking forward to properly knuckling down and getting all this debt (and a bit more to add too) paid off by May next year hopefully and then I can spend a year saving for the wedding!

    #118 £3686.97 / £4861 (75.85%)
Total debt at LBM = £4861.03

    DFBXmas2017 #118 - £3686.97 / £4861 (75.85%)

HTB ISA - £0 withdrawn for house purchase!
