    Las Vegas unlike nearly every other holiday destination you may have visited. In Vegas the hotels ARE the attractions. Most have a huge casino attached, but if you think that's all there is to the place, you are sorely mistaken! Each hotel is very different, with its own theme and attractions.

    The good news is, is that Vegas can be a friend for us Money Saving Experts, with lots of free attractions, cheap eats/drinks and value for money to be had.

    This page cannot hope to cover everything, but should point you towards some good money saving tips. All information at the start of this thread is put together by members of the forum and is accurate at the time of writing - we will update it when we can.

    After reading the 'information' posts at the start of this thread, feel free to ask a question and join the discussion! We have lots of Vegas regulars contributing to this thread - join the gang!

    Now that's the kind of win/loss statement I would like!

    Update on Romance package. I got an email today, but it is to cancel the package for 29th April. I still have heard nothing regarding tomorrow's package. I'm planning to go there and see what happens. It will be a pain if they have only cancelled one of my bookings and I have to fight for the other.

    In something like 17 trips I think I have had one good trip, a few mediocre and the rest poor when it comes to gambling

    ::: Romance Package from Expedia....
    Short Story:
    You get free entry into the Wax musuem, so thats a bonus. I said a few words to Expedia in an email, so they gave me a £25 credit towards hotel bookings....
    If you had booked 3 tickets, u get 3 entries to the musuem, so overall, not bad at all !

    Their instructions were that everyone with the package up to and including 7th April could be processed because it was too late for the refund. I proved I didn't have a refund on 8th April so she gave me all the vouchers. They were a bit odd because the date was wrong, but the meal went though perfectly and only one person on the high roller queried the date. She asked me where I got them, I told her Expedia, and she shrugged and let us on.

    Another vote for the Lion Habitat! Loved the place, and if you go, make sure to speak to the staff. Some amazing stories they have to tell. We missed the exit to the habitat, but if you do, don't panic, as the next exit also gets you there very easy.

    On the topic of animals, I bought the groupon for Keepers of the wild - Anyone been there? Is it worth the drive?

    32 days until we're leaving, and finally starting the planning in earnest! And for the first time, I have created a spreadsheet with our activities.. Not sure if that will work out better or not, but worth a shot

    I always do a spreadsheet, mainly so I know when to checkout/check in to the various hotels.

    I also plan some meals but mostly just put a list of eateries and places to go

    lionhabitat is on the list
