    Saving for Xmas 2017 - A pound a day 26th Nov 16 at 8:13 AM
This is the saving for Christmas 2017 - A pound a day challenge

    Back by popular demand

The Aim: To save a £1 a day from 1st December 2016 to 30th November 2017. How you save your £1 doesn't really matter, whether it be a £1 in a tin, an on-line account or anywhere else that suits you.

We will open our tins or have access to our accounts on 1st December 2017 and declare out total amounts saved

Then it's spend, spend, spend for Xmas 2017 on whatever you like.

I've had great success for the last 3 years and use a sealed tin. For 2016 I saved £2 each day instead of £1 and this really does take a lot of the stress out of Christmas, also, I have a great time counting out all my £1 coins at the end.

You soon get into the habit of putting a £1 a day away and just think this time next year you will have a healthy chunk of money towards the expense of Christmas

If you would like to join in pop your name down and I will allocate a number for you.

So come on everyone, decide on where you are going to keep your pounds and let's get saving!

Added £2 to the pot today - it doesn't seem much but believe me it really comes in handy in December. As well as the savings pot I'm also buying one present per month.

Love this challenge - I haven't been in debt for the last 2 January's, going for 3 times lucky in 2018!

Hello!!! - First of all huge apologies for being MIA again for so long. Unfortunately, I'm still spinning plates with job, parents, husband, working away, children, pets etc. etc. and seem to have little or no time to myself.

I am amazed at everyone's totals, they are absolutely fantastic!

Keep up the good work we are almost at the finishing post now - all totals updated where requested.

I'm creeping up slowly, still awaiting Boots, M&S and 2 untracked TCBís so should have a boost any day now.
