Merry christmas! 17th Oct 16 at 11:51 PM
I have just seen a Famous Grouse advert on TV.

I must have nodded off and woken up a few months later.
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister.

    All my screwdrivers are cordless.

Well according to QI, you should put your chrymble decorations up on Michaelmas (29th September) and take them down on Candlemas (2nd of February) so I suppose it is OK then.

Our Xmas depends on the dates our youngest son comes home on leave from his job in Saudi Arabia.

I'd like Christmas to start a week before Christmas day and finish the week after.

Measuring the movement of the sun's shadow using a Bucolic Standard twenty tonne rock half buried in the ground.

I don't know if whiskey had been invented by then, let alone Famous Grouse, but festivals and celebrations were carried out during the twelve day period and I expect some sort of alcoholic drink was involved.

    Sympathies, Cakecrumbs.
    Helluva nap, that.

We took son to see these at the weekend, at the garden centre. (Decorations, artificial trees, lights & all things supposedly relating to Chrimble.)
They were just putting up a rather large cabin for Santa's Grotto.
Much though I love Chr.... that time of year (coz we're not there yet) I fail to see what (just for example) skates (as in shoes, not fish) or penguins have to do with the jolly bearded fella.
Also, it seems that this years trend is to have the (fake) dismembered head of assorted beasties (like deer) as decorations; frankly, bizarre.

Anyway, can we get autumn out the way first please?
Or at least son's school half term?
