State Pension for wife after my death 17th Oct 16 at 1:14 PM
I am 68 and my wife is 61. I claim state pension and it is topped up with pension credit guarantee to the married persons allowance of £237 per week. I have two questions really:

    1. My wife reaches pension age at 66 under the new rules but has never worked. Will she start to claim under the new pension and myself continue under the old?

    2. What happens if I die before she reaches qualifying age ?

Has your wife obtained her own new state pension statement?
