As there's a thread on beards, I thought I'd start one to get opinions on hairy legs, particularly when they are visible in public.

    What about arm pits?
Referendum,Lisbon Treaty. shamelessly broken by labour and we never had the chance to vote on probably the most important change in Britain’s sovereignty in hundreds of years. Then Brown slunk off to sign the Treaty alone, away from the cameras and other European leaders, as if embarrassed by this betrayal of the people he’s paid to represent.

I remember my old primary teacher, Miss Smith, who had a large (well it did seem so at the time) mustache. Didn't mind odd years ago but now??

Each to their own, but I prefer not to have them. At least when they can be seen.

With legs and 'other' places, my point of view is that if somebody is close enough to have the opportunity to see what is or isn't there, they shouldn't be so ungrateful as to have an opinion about it.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Another thing is that you seldom, if ever, hear men complaining about unsightly hair. They might comment that a particular hair style may not suit someone but I don't think I have ever heard a man make comment about the actual presence of hair.

Personally I think a hairy tongue is about the only place that I would say was an unsightly place to have hair.

Legs get shaved on Saturday morning. By mid-week they could be put to good use as sand-paper, but life's too short to be faffing around with razors any more frequently.

Can't be doing with hairy backs that come over the shoulders to join the hair at the front. On either men or women.

Hairy armpits actually make you smellier, as the sweat gets trapped, giving your odiferous bacterial commensals the perfect breeding ground.

Depilation is, IMO, one of western society's great evils. We all do it, but it is such a PAIN!
