£6000 lump sum for a year or £500 per month for the next year?

Hard to offer any advice with so little information. For example, what advice do you need? Do you need advice on where to save the money, or how to reduce your expenditure to give you that money to save, or how to increase your income to give you the money?

Seriously though; given people around here are going to spend their own time handing out suggestions and pointers, any chance of just putting in a teensy bit of effort?

Proper sentences, grammar, punctuation; maybe a bit of explanatory text outlining circumstances, goals etc.

Any/all of the above is helpful.

On a positive note, congratulations on deciding to start putting some spare cash away on a regular basis

People sign up and post wind up requests all the time.

I consider it an open ended question which challenges our imagination and creativity.

The end of the very long epic TV series Monkey showed us the ultimate scripture is blank, same as the Dragon Scroll in KungFu Panda.

I find that letting my imagination roam free and coming up with outside the box solutions tends to land me in hostile territory, so here is a Zen plan of attack to the OP's question:

    Now, wasn't that NEAT?
