Premium bonds best time to buy? 11th Oct 16 at 8:12 PM
I know you do not get entered in the month you buy, but have read if you buy in September for example you get entered in the draw result announced between November 1st (1 million winneer) and November 3rd (smaller winners) but the draw is regarded as the October draw since it happens on the last day of the month?

So am I correct in thinking the last possible day of the month is the best way of buying?

Also how long do they take to process the application? would not like to apply on the 28th only for them to process it on the 1st and then have to wait 2 months.

Your money has to be in for 1 month before your entered into the draw. Therfore putting it in on the last couple of days of the month is the best way

So invest 2 or 3 days before the end of the month, does it really make that much difference? Say you're investing 10000 from an instant access account at 1%. Each day is 27 pence interest, is it worth missing an extra months' draw to gain 56p?

  • Who do you think came out best in the Corbyn v May battle tonight?

  • Clever by Paxman; subtly testing out "strong & stable" by focusing on u-turns on Brexit view, social care, self employed tax & election date

  • Ps sadly i got in too late to have seen Corbyn, hence why no comment on his performance
