MOT fail or recommendation? 8th Oct 16 at 1:08 PM

    Driver's mirror.
Also any idea of the quickest way to get replacement glass or mirror? 2006 Skoda Fabia and Halfords don't do the stick on glass, they say I'll have to do a template and send it off.

    Thanks.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Mine's not heated though. Just a bog standard manual one.

Can you get a mirror cheaper anywhere else?

Unless you have a really nasty tester that should be a pass & advise. A fail requires it to be damaged to an extent that seriously affects vision and you'll be able to see just fine in that.

And I think you only need 2 mirrors. So if rearview and passenger are OK it shouldn't be a fail.

I know when the mirror glass fell out of the Octavia (seemed to be a bit of a weak point - the passenger side one was only just hanging in there too - seems the adhesive they use weakens after about a decade) I just did a quick ebay search and got about half a dozen results for a replacement bit of glass. Araldited them onto the existing backing.
