Standing Order problem 8th Oct 16 at 11:56 AM
Hi guys, first time posting here so apologies if it is in the wrong section!
I have recently moved to Luxembourg for work, and so I set up a bank account with BCEE. My wages are paid in on the 25/26th of each month and my rent is taken out on the first of the month, so I set up a standing order to pay this.
However, I checked my account today to see that the rent has been deducted from my account balance, but I received correspondance from the bank saying that it cannot be processed. There were sufficient funds to pay the rent so I am not sure why this is happening, any ideas?

Perhaps your Standing Order details are incorrect

I don't know how banking in Luxembourg works, but you say "rent is taken out on the 1st of the month" which to me sounds like a Direct Debit. If so, then the DD may have taken the rent and there would not then be enough funds for the SO, which isn't a problem as the SO isn't needed anyway.
