Happy Mabon. 22nd Sep 16 at 9:03 AM
'Tis the Pagan and Wiccan festival of Mabon that celebrates the Autumn Equinox. Also known as Harvest Home, a time of equal day and equal night, and for the moment nature is in balance.
Mabon is a time of celebration and balance.

In the rhythm of the year, Mabon is a time of rest and celebration, after the hard work of gathering the crops. Warm autumn days are followed by chill nights, as the Old Sun God returns to the embrace of the Goddess.

In modern parlance, It's Party Time!

The equinox will occur today at 2.41 pip emma.

    Other belief systems are available.
I married my cousin. I had to...

    Budgies!
A party at twenty to three on a Thursday afternoon ................. just not playing fair, that; I missed it!

Fruity, do I have your permission to start my party NOW instead?
I've got a nice wee dram with my name on it.

For the Winter Solstice, they calculated that the sun stopped moving for twelve days because they couldn't measure it any more accurately. We now know the precise instant that the Solstice occurs, but people still sing songs about the original twelve day celebrations with Leaping Lords and birds of a certain type of feather in a pear tree.

    Merry meet and merry part,
