    Energy Club - Incorrect Comparison

Energy Club - Incorrect Comparison 21st Sep 16 at 9:02 AM
The comparison provided for my current deal with Scottish Power (August 18 fixed on line) suggested a 30% saving by taking up the club offer with SSE. Detailed analysis showed that the annual costs were the same. There does not seem to be an easy way of pointing out such discrepancies and people may be taking the wrong decision.

    Welcome to the forum.

Are you sure your detailed analysis is correct?

On energyhelpline for my area(Midlands) SP fixed to August 18 is very expensive with gas = 3.886p/kWh, Electricity 13.838p/kWh and a Daily Standing Charge(DSC) of 29.04p for each fuel.

Their SSE tariff is gas = 2.405p/kWh, electricity = 10.972p/kWh and a DSC of 14.79p for each fuel.

On energyhelpline the existing SP tariff is shown on the left and the SSE tariff on the right
