I cannot get into my phone at all and dont have a spare so I really need it fixed. We were quoted £130 today, eeekkkk

Someone has suggested I should buy a screen from ebay and fix it myself. Has anyone done this??

There's a Youtube clip on how to do it here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSPjGAaqbFM

It's a full strip down and rebuild, so it's not as simple as just dropping a new 'bit' in as phones (normally) are constructed from the screen up.

If you're handy with small tools and very careful it can be done.

Are you sure it's just the screen and not the digitizer as well?
I'm not an expert, but from experience, the screen usually works even though it's cracked.
