How do you know that you'll need glasses (or what sort of lenses you'll need if you do) if you haven't yet had an eye test?

I recently purchased some lovely frames using aliexpress. I took a while choosing but am very pleased with my purchase and soooooo cheap. Will take to specs2you for eye test and they will sort the lenses. Although they do offer to do lenses via aliexpress I didn't do that, not sure if willing to do try. The opticians say the frames are excellent quality, but as I say, I did take my time choosing. I think I searched for optical frames. Hope this helps.
