Co-op Energy "Customer Experience Payment" 17th Sep 16 at 8:27 PM
I was a previous Co-Op Energy customer during their farcical billing change over. Today I have received an email from them offering me a Customer Experience Payment of £8.44. I have the choice of a cheque or donating it to charity, but either way I'm required to click a link in the email.

Is this genuine? Google hasn't helped me.

I have received similar e-mail not quite as generous as yours £5.54, I wonder how they arrived at the amounts.

Message looks genuine, they addressed me by full name showed correct old account number and knew I was no longer with the Co-Op.
Still I have not responded yet, and will wait to see if anything comes up about it.

There is no hurry I might just give Co-Op a ring next week, mind you if the service is like it was last year I doubt if I will get through.

I had a phone call rather than email. I eventually got a cheque (it took nearly a month) for about £10.50.

A derisory amount, when you consider the aggravation I went through with these idiots. They were clearly told by the regulator they had to make the payment and simply followed their instructions, didn't even bother rounding the payment up to the nearest pound!

Telephoned Co-Op and actually got to speak to someone almost immediately, they confirmed they were in the process of arranging refunds.

They as has been said have been instructed by Ofgem to do this, on finishing, I was asked if I would consider switching back to them, no chance👎👎

Thanks everyone, I've requested my cheque today. Strange how we've all been offered differing amounts.

Presumably this is a "Customer Bad Experience Payment" ? Why don't these clowns use the right terminology!
