    'Ghost touch' on Moto G4 31st Aug 16 at 9:40 PM
    I've had my Moto G4 since they came out (May or June?) Just over the last few days it's virtually unusable most of the time. Apps are being randomly opened and closed, as though it's been taken over by a poltergeist. Has anyone else had this problem with a Moto G or any other phone?

    Thanks in advance for any answers.

    have u switched off & On again.
    Do you install a recent App which is misbehaving?

    if that fails?

    Factory reset in settings cures most probs

    I've switched on and off several times to no avail. Have uninstalled some apps with no effect. I'm going to phone Motorola tomorrow, although they may well suggest a factory reset. It will be extremely frustrating if I do that and it still doesn't help!

    Do a factory reset yourself.

    Most of your apps and settings come back again when you sign in afresh.

    Obliged if you could us advise of outcome as a lot of my friends have the G4

    That's the problem with Android. You should get an iPhone!

    I have G4 plus, don't have such problem.

    Is it a hardware problem or software problem?
    Will there be any help with factory reset?

    Prior to re-installing BBC Weather I had only reinstalled Fitbit, Myfitnesspal and the ID mobile app, as far as I can recall. All of which had coexisted quite happily with BBC Weather previously.

    It's not BBC Weather! I've done a factory reset several times and every time I install an app - any app - the ghost touch starts again.

    I reset it yesterday and as soon as I installed Fitbit it started playing up again. I reset it again today and am going to wait and then install a different app to see what happens.

    This doesn't just happen when it's charging, it happens randomly and I can't find any pattern to it.

    If anyone can help I'd he most grateful.

    The saga continues.

    The phone was sent for 'repair' in October but was no better. I asked for a replacement and they said they only offer a replacement after 2 failed repairs. The second repair failed and I've asked for a refund, which they've refused to give me.

    As they were notified of the fault when I'd had the phone less than 6 months, I've pointed out that they are in breach of the Consumer Rights Act, 2015, by refusing me a refund.

    In the absence of a meaningful reply from Motorola I have raised a Section 75 claim with Barclaycard.

    I will never buy from them again. Their customer 'service' is appalling.

    I would be interested to know if anyone else is having problems with 'ghost touch' on Motorola phones. It is a known fault but not one they're interested in addressing.
