Back in debt but not out 2nd Aug 16 at 6:58 AM
    Hi,

It's been over a year since I was here last.

Last time, we managed to get debt free by consolidating our debts, but due to a lot of things we are back in debt again.

This past month has brought things to a head, we've been rather stupid and things have gotten out of control.

So where are we with the debt:

    Barclaycard: £8829.88
    Overdraft: £2750.00
    Total: £11, 579.88

Ignoring the OD for the moment, as I'm not too worried about that one, I need to make headway on sorting the BC out.

Things coming up this month are:

    DD's birthday
    Pay remainder of DD's party
Pay for food at DD's party - already ordered just needs paying
    Pay for DD's cake
    School uniforms for both kids

Will post my plan in the next post, back in moment

Hoping today won't be too draining. Take care. Although it has to be noted you were up ad on the go before I woke up so a below par you seems to do more than an above par me. I need to up my game

    Morning,

Still feeling bleurgh just wish I knew what it was, would rather be in bed than going to work.

Freezer lunch today, left over meatballs in tomato sauce, just need to do some bread to go with it.

    Should be another NSD today.

Is it sooo hard that I just want 5 minutes of just me? No hubby, no kids just me?!?!

Pizza ordered as slightly fallen off the wagon, will feel bad about it tomorrow.

Got an interview tomorrow afternoon so that's got to be a good thing.

Feeling generally !!!!, don't know if i'll get paid at the end of this month.

Company have enough money put aside to pay for September allegedly but there's no guarantee for October. Company is using project money to fund the company without any future work coming in.

What a crap day yesterday was...sorry for my strange post last night.

Boiler broke down yesterday, DH has someone coming to fix it today, the joys of working in construction I'm working from home so I can be here when he arrives.....total cost a pint.

Spoke to my friend yesterday and she confirmed that the company is in dire straights and that they are using the money from this project to pay staff. Yes it is legal just not good practice.

I have an interview today with one of the sister companies that DH works for. The PM asked if I could start Monday lol.

Going to get in touch with the agencies today and find out about going freelance through them and how to go about it and if there's more work that way? May be a better way to get out of my current situation.

Right off to wake the kids and get them moving.

Wow, that is not good news about the company. I would have thought it would be illegal to keep you working when they know they might not be able to pay you. If they are going under, they probably don't care...

Fingers crossed that you find something much better, and soon!

The verdict is in.....the circuit board has gone on the boiler, Mr Boiler man has gone to get a replacement and fingers crossed that will sort the problem out.

Filled all DD's Brownie camp forms in, just need to hand them in when we go to Guides tonight.

Should be doing some work, but I can't be bothered. Totally not me.

Haven't washed up or made our bed this morning, seriously lacking. But I have got one load in the drier and another in the washing machine.

Need to have a shower at some point, if I can don't want to rock up at the interview looking rough.

Washing up done but draining and bed made, load in the tumble drier.

Contemplating going freelance, as there seems to be more opportunity than permanent and I'll gain more experience on other systems than I currently have...waiting to hear back from one of the agencies with more info.

Come the 3rd October, I am going to hand in my laptop and mobile and walk away, I can't physically wait until the end of October to see if I may or may not get paid and take things from there. Short term wise, we can live off DH's salary albeit it will be a tad difficult.

    October Aims

    15 NSD's
    10 LSD's
    15 AFD's

    Find a job - PRIORITY
Food order and meal plan for the month
Try and overpay MBNA to try and keep it on target
    Lunch to work every day
    Update finances and squares
Ring water company and see what the balance is - settle account for the year?
Holiday end October - To be a LSW as much as possible No longer happening

Right need to go and have a shower now we have hot water

Back later once I have had my interview

Good work on keeping on top of all the little day to day jobs PMO2, it can be hard to stay motivated when you're feeling under the weather and having a tough time. I like the look of your plan, it's good to get it written down. Let us know how you get on at the interview xxx

I GOT THE JOB, I GOT THE JOB and my friend she got the job she went for, both of us are going to just walk away. I'm really happy for her and she is for me. Win! Win!

Got to register with their agency that they use tomorrow so that I'll get paid, as its weekly, I'll transfer the money over every week and back again at the end of the month.

Short term, it's two months work but guarantees I get paid.

Part one of my October plan crossed off

ETA: can't have October half term as I won't get paid for it however DH has holiday he can cover it.
