    Back in debt but not out 2nd Aug 16 at 6:58 AM
    Hi,

    It's been over a year since I was here last.

    Last time, we managed to get debt free by consolidating our debts, but due to a lot of things we are back in debt again.

    This past month has brought things to a head, we've been rather stupid and things have gotten out of control.

    So where are we with the debt:

    Barclaycard: £8829.88
    Overdraft: £2750.00
    Total: £11, 579.88

    Ignoring the OD for the moment, as I'm not too worried about that one, I need to make headway on sorting the BC out.

    Things coming up this month are:

    DD's birthday
    Pay remainder of DD's party
    Pay for food at DD's party - already ordered just needs paying
    Pay for DD's cake
    School uniforms for both kids

    Will post my plan in the next post, back in moment

    Morning,

    DH spoke to his sister last night, MiL is staying with her, she's still confused. SiL thinks that MiL has only got a few months left. SiL used to look after old people so knows the signs.

    Bank account checked, nothing untoward there.

    Not made my lunch today.

    Will go through my surveys again today and try and build them up. Ones that have a cash payout, I'm going to pay off the Cap One card first and then plough in to MBNA. The rest I'm going to get vouchers and put them away for Christmas and birthdays.

    Sorry to hear the not-so-great news about MIL, hopefully things become easier and the confusion clears a little. Unfortunately I have lots of experience with my Mum having strokes and more recently, my Dad. It is very difficult for the family as well as the patient. Sending hugs.

    I'm all motivated with the surveys too presently, but they seem to have dried up!

    Countdown to weekend
    Morning,

    MiL is doing ok, they both went to the dtrs yesterday and a lot got sorted. Dtr thinks her confusion will settle down once they up her sodium levels, so we will see.

    Had a badish day yesterday with DS which resulted in me leaving work and going home to take him to school...long story but now hopefully it's been resolved.

    Lunch has been made for today.

    Bank account checked, only one payment has come out.

    A few surveys done yesterday. I'm half way to a payout with Onepoll.

    Waiting to hear if I have an interview for a job, fairly big construction company, DC needed for two projects, one close to home and the other in London. Not ideal but if I do get the job, I don't mind going in to London two days. Fingers crossed I'll hear today.

    Got a busy day at work today.

    DH is going to be late tonight, he's a meeting in London that doesn't finish until 6. By the time he gets home, it'll be about 8.30. So I'll feed the kids and then think of something for us.

    Afternoon,

    Seems DS isn't up for an award after all, the school issued an email by mistake...oh well, I'm still proud of him andI think he's done well for what he's acheived in the last three months.

    Moving on....

    Boots voucher redeemed from VO, leaving me with 75 points left.
    One Poll is up to £22.25
    Prolific A is up to £0.60 due to my first survey with them

    Yougov is still showing paid surveys available from 2014, when I was last active

    With the vouchers, I am going to save them for next year now and build a nice little stash up.

    ETA: DH has a load of points via his Barclaycard....so I'm going to redeem them and get vouchers to put away

    Next year is going to be Super Organised!

    ETA (2): Total spent today 85p, which gives me £1.15 to roll over for tomorrow.

    As I ended up spending money yesterday for lunch due to nipping home, I can wipe out the money I had extra the other day as I bought a sandwich.

    So I have £3.15 for tomorrow, which is more than enough for lunch.

    Dilemma....I found £10 on the train , I could -

    A - Bank it and pay it off the Cap One
    B - Put it somewhere safe & use it next week
    C - Buy McD's for lunch with some of it
    D - Treat the kids

    Part of me wants to save it for next week but part of me is thinking about buying treats for the kids.

    Morning,

    Very tired today, glad it's Friday. Think it's a Redbull kind of day.

    I know I was going to buy my lunch today, but I've been a good girl and made a salad.

    Treated the kids last night to a packet of mini eggs each and some doughnuts.

    Bank account checked, nothing new there.

    Will try and get some surveys done today, but Friday's are busy so it might not happen.

    Saturday
    Morning,

    Yay, it's Saturday. What a long week it's been.

    Good news is that I have an interview on Thursday hopefully I'll get this job.

    Surveys are up to date. Nearly at a pay out with Onepoll, PA I'm nearly at the £5 threshold do I need to hang on til £20 on this one?? VO is back up to £1.

    Bank account checked, all up to date.

    DH's expenses are due in next week.

    Things to get done this weekend:
    * Washing hung outside
    * Change our bed
    * Top up shop
    * Cook anything needed for next week
    * Ironing
    * General housework stuff

    Right off for a cuppa and then get organised.

    ETA: I was under my allowance by £1

    Thanks ladies

    Forget hanging the washing out, it's going to rain most of today. Hopefully this afternoon I'll be able to hang the bedding out. First time we've properly used the TD since we've moved in.

    Shopping done, shouldn't need much next weekend and then it's payday the week after.

    DH doing the ironing

    Stuff defrosting so I can cook tomorrow. Kebabs made for dinner tonight....we're having Tapas for dinner.

    Checked the points on DH's BC and he's got £85 worth, plenty of vouchers available for Christmas
