travel advisory line 23rd Jun 16 at 12:53 PM
    Hi

I have had a random phone call from travel advisory line stating I can claim compensation if I went on an all inclusive holiday to a country that fell below the recommended hygiene standards within the last three years .
I mentioned I had visited Tenerife and he said it was on the list and tour operators have put aside money to pay out compensation.
This seems too good to be true as just to claim for going on holiday to the country without havinga ny illness due to the hygiene levels seems strange.
I am wary that this may be a scam , has anyone come across this

Couldn't resist using Streetview to see the location of this Corporates business.

At least they have cut the grass and the lawn looks nice in this end of terrace Liverpool residence.

Think that sums up the Travel Advisory Line!

    Hi,
I have just had some rather interesting conversations with this "company". The whole process started when the rand my mobile daily and hung up. They were spoofing the telephone number to make me think they were calling from my neck of the woods. I reported what I knew to TPS and now I have more information ( and names ) to pass on to the TPS. They were rude to me and pretended the line was faulty and couldn't hear me. Also they seem to think they are above the law regarding ignoring the TPS register.

Its amazing... I have just been paid out of £3300 and my boyfriend got £2700 in 4 months. I thought it was a scam but i'm very shocked and exited as we can go on another holiday for x-mas for free.

I've had a few accounts on this website made to comment on certain forums one with over 1347 thanks for car insurance. I just happen to have received my cheque in the post and thought i would share some information on the company as i was sceptical at first and had seen these previous posts about the company but by taking a chance as they didn't ask me anything i felt uncomfortable with telling them i eventually got the money i was owed i also rang Thomson and said if i was ill on the holiday can i got through this company and receive compensation to which they said yes and if you call any main travel provider and ask they will say the same thing it is not my fault that some people do not take the opportunity when it presents its self also a few people have made accounts to post one thing so why is it only the positive comments that get all the hassle ahh well if you miss out you miss out i am not going to loose any sleep over it

So has anyone actually been scammed
    These guys called me to.
Read through the comments and no-one actually seems to have been scammed by these people it all just seems to be people with lots of opinions and no facts.

CAN ANYONE POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF ANY STORIES OF ACTUAL OCCURRENCES WHERE SOMEONE WAS SCAMMED BY THIS??

Were you sick on holiday and can prove what made you sick? If so I presume you've already taken it up with the tour operator or hotelier?

If you haven't been sick them don't be fooled by these shonksters that tell you they can get you thousands without providing any proof. You're committing fraud and hopefully you'll be caught and pay the consequences for it. It also makes it harder for people with legitimate claims to be taken seriously.

The whole sick claims industry is a scam, which is why hoteliers, tour operators, Abta etc are all clamping down on it.

If you live in Rye you really should know better than to even ask the question. If you were ill did you report it whilst you were on holiday, did you write to the operator when you came home or contact a solicitor when you got home? If you have only thought of making a claim months or years later, you really need to be careful as the operators and hotels are now fighting back.

I would never want to stop anyone with a genuine claim proceeding but if you go to a proper solicitor they will claim costs from the operator and you won't lose 25 to 30% of the value of your claim in the process.
Have you thought how they got your number, you didn't call them did you? You may have had a call from a call centre asking you 'household questions' recently, that is how they got your name, they use the information you thought you were giving away for free (and you were) and they have now paid for another 10,000 names of poor sods who are going to get the same call as you! I tried to find their website, they obviously didn't pay the second years fees as it sends you to a Spanish sports site and the Facebook page hasn't changed since last July
