I agree with you Alfie and fire**fly about the XFactor ....think the judges were 'nissed as a pewt' when they chose bratavio and honey g to go through! Glad them lads went out last night!

Loved your Monday face pic you put on FB Sylvia!

Have a good break Sheils and glad you had a good weekend with DS

I've had a bit of an eventful weekend. DD2 took ill with suspected appendicitis on Friday so was in A&E. She was rolling in agony. After a few hours things settled and the bloods came back ok so luckily they didn't remove them but said it could flare up again. I took her back to school today though!

This clown craze is getting out of hand. There's been loads around our way with knives etc. Even chasing little kids! My DD2 is terrified of clowns to start with. If I see one they'll have perfume sprayed in their eyes and a kick where it hurts!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone!

    Good afternoon everyone!

    Hope you're all ok.

It's another beautiful day here, sunny but a tad
    chilly.

Very well done on your wins indie!

So sorry to hear of your DD2 wingo. Very pleased
she's ok at the mo. I talk from experience that it's
really very painful - I had appendicitis years ago (can
recall the pain as if it was yesterday!). Unfortunately
my appendix then ruptured! I became very poorly but
thanks to the wonderful care and attention of the
hospital staff and surgeon, I am still here!

The appendix serves no use to man nor beast.

I also hate the 'clown craze' - it's all getting terribly
out of hand. I agree wingo ...... couldn't possibly say
what I would do to the blighters if they ever crossed
my path ...... 'cept they wouldn't find it a very pleasant
    experience!

Have a lovely and lucky day all, take care - I'll catch
    up later.

Wingo I remeber when sister had appendicitis. She was six I was seven. Teacher sent for me to take her home as she was being sick and had tummy pains. Got her to the school gates and she collapsed. Luckily our doctor was at the bottom of the street. So ran and got him. He examined her then ran in to school to phone an ambulance. He got me and her to hospital then contacted my mum who was at work in another hospital. Once we knew she had op and was ok we went home. Next day mum contacted doc and she and him went in to the school and gave the headmaster whatfor. Afterwards a meeting with all teachers resulted in the fact that no child had to be put in the care of another child. A nurse was employed part time and childs doctor had to be contacted if parent could not be.

Hi all. Just been trying to catchi up. We came home yesterday. After staying with DS and GKs we have been on holiday to Madeira. Had a great holiday in the sun and home with no delays this time.

It's definitely much colder now. We have had heating on and more clothes.

Just been reading postings about appendicitis. Pleased your daughter was ok Wingo but you need to keep an eye on her. Alfie you were certainly very fortunate as was Rose's sister. A friend's niece had a similar incident to you last year Alfie. She was 12 and thankfully she survived the peritonitis. I had mine out at aged about 20.

FireFly hope you are much better and doing everyday things has improved for you.

Indie hope you had s good day off. I've put washing out here in the bit of sun. Just taking a break from some ironing.

Sylvia admire you for joining SW. We must look st our diet and try to loose some weight. Need to do some walking like Sheils.

Sheils hope you have been enjoying your breaks.

April hope you are ok. Did you start a course?

When we were away we had new neighbours. Another young couple, she's expecting a first baby anytime.

    Congratulations on the wins lately

We came back to five parcels. Four children's books and one adult book. Some next door so was great to meet them. I knew of three wins but not five.

I also had this amazing win from the end of months

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5518711&highlight=casio+edifice

BikerChick was delighted it was a MSE win.

I've been going in for watches for my SonIls. When I received email DH said you are not giving that away are you? I asked him if he would like it and he said yes! This is a bluetooth watch all singing and dancing and we don't even have smart phones. He said that was the point the SIls have smart phones. We will see when it comes.

    Thanks Furefly.

My trainer win came in so useful. They have small mosaic tiles on the pavements there. So trainers were really comfortable.

    Good morning everyone!

    I hope you're all ok.

    Welcome back leanfun!

Very well done on all your wins!

It sounds like a wonderful holiday - staying with DS and
GKs then on to Madeira! Lovely that you found winning
trainers very comfortable when walking in Madeira. I'm
the same - have to wear decent/comfy footwear wherever
I am - can't remember the last time I wore heels!

I actually hadn't realised at the time my appendix ruptured
of how dreadfully serious peritonitis is. My dear mum
(who was a nurse) did and she had warned family members
to prepare them in case I didn't make it. Luckily for
me, my guardian and the hospital 's took
such wonderful care of me ..... I lived to tell the tale.

So pleased your friend's niece survived peritonitis too, at
    such a young age.

rose - your sis was an extremely lucky little girl too - it's
amazing how many peeps recall incidents regarding the
    appendix!

It was a beautiful weather day here yesterday and today
it's looking to be similar just with a few more clouds!

Have a lovely and lucky day all, take care - I'll catch
    up later.

Thanks for pic Firefly. Been pouring with rain here too.

Hope rain clears for when you finish work Indie.

Alfie everyone seems to have a story about some thing we can do without. I had mine out while in Germany aged 20 on an Easter Saturday. When I came around I wished everyone a Happy Christmas. Lo I still recall the pain.

More ironing and sorting clothes here then off to pick up GS from school. Thats DD1s about half an hours drive away. Have not seen him for a while. We will have to go back to visit DS this week. He's recovering from infection he picked up from DH but GKs didn't get lt thankfully.

    Good luck everyone.

Hi everyone, sorry not been in but laptop is still at repairers. Hoping to have it back some time on Friday.

Well done on the wins everyone. Don't think we have had one yet this month yet 😩

Sorry to hear about your DD2 Wingo. Both my DD2 and my DS had to have theirs out.

Have a lovely day everyone and good luck.

Well done on your wins leanfun and indie Great wins

Alfie, that must have been a scare for you and family with peritonitis. My brother had his out and there were complications so he has a massive thick scar going right up his stomach instead of a side scar. Since his kidney ops though they have made the scars much neater when they've opened him back up. DD is still having stomach pains but not as bad but she was sick again yesterday. The hospital said it could still be grumbling appendix so I will keep an eye on her.

Love the robin pic fire**fly I'm sure we'll be seeing them very soon! It's much colder now.

Leanfun, hope DH is feeling better and gets rid of the bug he's picked up xx

Have a good time on hol Sheils

Enjoy your day Rose whatever you decide to do!

Good luck with the laptop Sylvia and hope you sort the problem out. You need to win a new one!

Well must go to work in this horrid pouring rain! We had to close school yesterday to pupils as our kids and staff were all coming down with this winter vomiting bug so we had a good clean out to stop infection. Back to normal hopefully today!
Have a good day everyone x
