Prolific Academic - New Survey Alerts 23rd Dec 15 at 1:12 PM
Hi all, this is a thread dedicated to alerting everyone to new surveys appearing on the Prolific Academic site.

It's an interesting and well paid survey site, which also means they're popular and become fully subscribed very quickly!

I love the site, but find their own survey notifications a wee bit hit and miss and most of us don't have time to repeatedly check the site during the day on the off chance of finding available surveys. We won't all be eligible for the same surveys, but a quick 'heads up' when we do see one may make checking for surveys just a little bit more profitable and worthwhile for each other.

No rules, just subscribe and post when you see them to spread the joy!

Additionally, if you're planning on signing up to the site, please be sure to pop over to the referral thread to use someone else's link, before posting your own.

What is this life, if, sweet wordsmith, we have no time to take the pith?

Every stew starts with the first onion.

I took it upon myself to investigate a trifle; it had custard, jelly, soggy sponge things...

Aw, Smodlet! We all do things like that from time to time - so quick and easy to press a button on the internet/on your phone and then realise you've done something nuts! Phew - happy you've not lost the cash!

Thanks for the info GreyAndGold, good to know.

I didn't take any pictures of my card for Circle, I signed up on the web version and didn't even link a bank account to start with only once Prolific had transferred some money.

I wasn't asked by Circle to send a picture of my card when I registered with them and linked my bank account. I've had two payouts from PA via Circle so far, and they've both been very quick and hassle-free.

The taking a photo of the card thing is on the Circle iphone app. I use that, not a web page.

I completed the Vocabulary study. However, after I had finished, I was told something had gone wrong, and I had already taken the test - Grrr!

I couldn't get past enter your prolific ID and login in, I messaged the researcher and got no reply so clicked that I had finished. If it gets returned I might argue that one with them as it sounds as if there were technical issues for several people.

I didnt get a completion code either but Prolific ID was entered so should be fine.

An earlier survey about male/females and work/home really didnt work for me though.

Researcher sent me a link to complete it elsewhere which I did but she had already paid me by then. However was quite interesting anyway. Even contained one word I had never actually come across before which is unusual at my advance age.

Nearly lost the will to live on facial recognition, having already done rating images of food this afternoon.

Is it as dead for everyone else as it is for me? I've made £1 in a week! The week before that was pretty good, though. I wonder whose pile of tumbleweed is the biggest; bet it's mine.
